Glow (The Plated Prisoner Series Book 4) by Raven Kennedy

The Booktok hit: The Plated Prisoner Series continues in book 4. This dark adult fantasy romance is inspired by the myth of King Midas and the gold-touched woman who realizes her true worth.

“I was nothing but a road to Midas. A means to get to where he wanted to go, and I paved that path in gold.”

My life has been made up of gilded lies. But death has been shaped from rot.

Like a phoenix caught fire, I will need to rise from the ashes and learn to wield my own power. Because my wings may have been clipped, but I am not in a cage, and I’m finally free to fly from the frozen kingdoms I’ve been kept in.

Yet the world doesn’t want to let me.

That’s the thing when you turn against a king—everyone else turns against you.

Good thing I have a different king in my corner.

But even with the dark threat of Slade Ravinger, the other monarchs are coming for me.

So I will fight for him and he will kill for me, and if we need to become the villains, then so be it.

Because so long as I live in this world, I won’t be used again.

Please note: This is an adult fantasy series with dark elements that may be triggering, including past emotional and physical trauma, violence, adult language, and explicit romance. Read at your own discretion.

Sheer Cupidity (Heart Hassle Book 5) by Raven Kennedy

What happens when a cupid falls in love?

From the international best-selling author Raven Kennedy, comes a new fantasy romance about cupids and fae, filled with humor, heart, and heat.

I am great at my job.

And I’m not just saying that—I have the statistics to back it up. Being a cupid is my passion. Being the best is just the dollop of pink icing on the heart cake.

But none of that matters when I find myself caught up in a battle in the fae realm, helping my boss. I’m about to get hit with a power blast strong enough to end my immortal life when something happens. A fae male steps in front of me and takes the hit.

Belren dies, right there in front of my eyes.

Aimless in my guilty grief, I lose my footing as the perfect cupid. And footing is very important when you’re trying to have a superior bow and arrow stance.

Finally fed up with the constant cloud of regret, I got back to where it started—the fae island where Belren died. Yet I don’t get closure. Instead, I find him.

But the horned, handsome, and entirely see-through male doesn’t remember me at all. And that’s when I know that the fates are out to mess up my orderly life.

Because the truth is, Belren haunted me long before he ever became a ghost.

Now, it seems we both have unfinished business.

Author’s Note: This is a spin-off from the original Heart Hassle series. It is a standalone m/f romance, but has some continuing story arcs and familiar characters from the first 4 Cupidity books. There is explicit language and romance, and is intended for ages 18+.

Gleam (The Plated Prisoner Series Book 3) by Raven Kennedy

The thing about being confined is that you believe it’s to keep the bad out.
…Until you realize it’s about keeping you in.

I’m now in a strange kingdom surrounded by liars, with no allies of my own, but I won’t sit idly by and let myself wither. No, there’s something that’s bloomed from the pit of my repression. Something dark. Something angry.

But the last thing I expected was for my anger to call out to him. King Ravinger.

He’s sinister and powerful and entirely too seductive. I’ve learned my lesson with trusting manipulative kings, so why does my chest constrict every time he’s near? I need to tread carefully, or I’m at risk of losing much more than just my freedom.

Regret and revenge war inside of me, and I need to figure out a plan fast before I get tangled up in the schemes of kings and queens.

Glint (The Plated Prisoner Series Book 2) by Raven Kennedy

“You want to make your life easier? Then be the caged bird that you are and sing.”

For ten years, I’ve lived in a gilded cage inside King Midas’s golden castle. But one night changed everything.

Now I’m here, a prisoner of Fourth Kingdom’s army, and I’m not sure if I’m going to make it out of this in one piece. They’re marching to battle, and I’m the bargaining chip that will either douse the fire or spark a war.

At the heart of my fear, my worry, there’s him—Commander Rip.

Known for his brutality on the battlefield, his viciousness is unsurpassed. But I know the truth about what he is.

Fae.

The betrayers. The murderers. The ones who nearly destroyed Orea, wiping out Seventh Kingdom in the process. Rip has power sizzling beneath this skin and glinting spikes down his spine. But his eyes—his eyes are the most compelling of all.

When he turns those black eyes on me, I feel captive for an entirely different reason.

I may be out of my cage, but I’m not free, not even close. In the game of kings and armies, I’m the gilded pawn. The question is, can I out maneuver them?

This is the captivating second book of The Plated Prisoner series. It’s an adult epic fantasy story blending romance, intrigue, and beautiful imagery. Return to the seductive story of magic inspired by the myth of King Midas, and get caught up in the world of Orea.

Gild (The Plated Prisoner Series Book 1) by Raven Kennedy

The fae abandoned this world to us. And the ones with power rule.

Gold.

Gold floors, gold walls, gold furniture, gold clothes. In Highbell, in the castle built into the frozen mountains, everything is made of gold.

Even me.

King Midas rescued me. Dug me out of the slums and placed me on a pedestal. I’m called his precious. His favored. I’m the woman he Gold-Touched to show everyone that I belong to him. To show how powerful he is. He gave me protection, and I gave him my heart. And even though I don’t leave the confines of the palace, I’m safe.

Until war comes to the kingdom and a deal is struck.

Suddenly, my trust is broken. My love is challenged. And I realize that everything I thought I knew about Midas might be wrong.

Because these bars I’m kept in, no matter how gilded, are still just a cage. But the monsters on the other side might make me wish I’d never left.

Author’s Note: This is a fantasy romance m/f story. There will be monarchs and magic and fae and steam and violence and all the feels. This book contains explicit content and mature language not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. This is book one of three in the series, so that means it won’t be tied up in a bow at the end. In fact, the bow is probably going to be tossed right off a cliff. But it’ll be worth the fall.

Grave Signs (Hellgate Guardians Book 4) by Ivy Asher & Raven Kennedy

I’ve spent my whole life seeing monsters, but they could never see me back…until now.

Turns out, I’m not crazy like I’ve spent my whole life believing. Too bad it took being locked in a cage and tortured almost to the point of insanity to realize that.

But I’m not alone.

In a cage to my left, there’s a monster who’s given up hope. He stays in the shadows and moves with chains wrapped around him, but his golden eyes watch. To my right, there’s a girl with purple wings and familiar gray eyes.

She says she’s my sister, and not just that, but apparently I’m half demon, half angel, and to make it out of here, I have to embrace the new wings on my back and the scythe in my hand.

Now I have to choose to either submit to my captor, or fight.

I’m about to learn that sometimes you have to become a monster to beat the monster.

Grave Decisions (Hellgate Guardians Book 3) by Ivy Asher & Raven Kennedy

My name is Medley Bell, and if you had told me this time last week that I was demon, then I’d have said you were nuttier than a squirrel turd.

Of course, that was before I started seeing the strangest things. I’ve always been a little off, but it took stumbling into a backwater bar to understand how different I really am.

So when two drool-worthy guys stop by to tell me that I’m Hell spawn just like them, I’m more relieved than shocked. I mean, it sure does explain a lot.

Now, I just have to convince my mama and daddy that they can’t come with me on my first trip to Hell, deal with a hellish biological family I never knew I had, and keep from getting kidnapped by some weird Morax fella with snakes for hair.

Things are about to get crazy around here. I guess it’s a good thing I like that.

Grave Mistakes (Hellgate Guardians Book 1) by Ivy Asher & Raven Kennedy

It’s never a good combo to be broke and desperate. You do stupid things. Like accidentally sign your soul over to Hell.

When I interviewed for a new security job, I didn’t bat an eye that it was for a literal graveyard shift…headstones and all. I mean, at the hourly rate they were offering, who cares? I got this.

Turns out, I’m not guarding a graveyard like I thought. It seems I’ve just walked my broke ass into protecting a Gate to Hell. Yeah…I don’t got this.

Now I’m stuck in a terrifying new reality: a group of hot demons who act like I can solve all their problems, and a battle between good, evil, and balance.

This will seriously teach me to read the fine print on Help Wanted ads. Good thing this job comes with a scythe. Maybe I can use it to stop them from dragging my ass into Hell.

Jetta (Pack of Misfits #3) by Raven Kennedy

I’m kind of a bitch, but you would be too if you had my life.

I was taken as a baby and trained to become an elite member of Troupe Delirium. My time with them is as permanent as the damn collar on my neck. Until Heathcliff helps me escape.

I have nothing but the clothes on my back and the good sense to get as far away as I can. But then I stumble into someone else’s territory and get snagged by a shifter-happy cop who brings me to a pack.

Pack Aberrant. The only shifter pack in the world that would actually be willing to help me. Before I know it, I’m getting attached to an enforcer and I’m fighting for these misfits who somehow thawed my heart.

But I know better. My old master is coming for me, and Heathcliff…I can’t ever really move on without Heathcliff. I guess I won’t really need to, though. There’s no way I’m making it out of this alive.

Author’s Note: This is book 3 in the Pack of Misfits series. Every story is a stand-alone, but it is best if you start with Addie’s book. Each book will have a different mate dynamic. (M/F, RH, or Menage.) Intended for mature audiences 18 years and older. Expect a take-no-shit female, humor, heat, and plenty of action. This one is a wild ride.

Title: Jetta (Pack of Misfits #3)
Author: Raven Kennedy
Publication Date: April 6th, 2020
Shelves: Contemporary; Romance; Paranormal;
Format: Kindle (486 pages)
Rating: 10/10

Just WOW. Jetta’s story was so complex and beautifully written. She is a broken person and we finally find out just how much.

Raven Kennedy did a fine job by showing her soft and hard edges.

Jetta has been a rogue from Troupe Delirium, where she was owned by a very bad man. He was actually torturing all the people in the troupe. All her life, she only knew this way of living and now she needs to go on her own and discover a brand-new world.

How can she do that when Heathcliff exchanged his life for her escape. She has to run and all while asking herself is he is still alive. And now she’s heartbroken and alone.

During this, she finds herself taken by the pack of Misfits and she soon finds out that Jericho is more than she wants to believe. And her guilt of leaving Cliff behind nearly breaks her. But Jericho knows her and wants her despite her feelings for Cliff. He encourages her to live and love. Both of them.

All this makes an abrupt stop when her owner wants one last performance of her, while betting the life of Cliff and a baby shifter of the pack.

I was questioning myself how can Jericho deal with how strong of a character Jetta truly is, but the author managed to equal everything.

I fell in love with this pack and I cannot wait to see who is next. With little hints of who might be what, the chase is fun.

As a last note, I was excited to find out Zen, a character for the Paranormal Prison Series makes an appearance. It’s fun to read an author and connect the dots.

Conveniently Convicted (Paranormal Prison) by Ivy Asher & Raven Kennedy

Nightmare Penitentiary is no joke. The worst of the worst in the paranormal world end up at NP, and I just got sentenced there.

For others, this might be cause for freaking the hell out. But for me, it’s a fucking relief.

You see, I’ve been sold off to the big bad asshole, Alpha Bowen—thanks mom and dad! But if they think I’m going to go quietly, or at all, they haven’t been paying attention to how I roll.

Nightmare Penitentiary is the perfect place to escape, and I’m ready. If only people would stop trying to break me out. Seriously, it’s annoying.

I’m ready to relax and serve my sentence, but then I meet the prison guard, Rook. I can’t seem to escape his heated stares, the head wobbles, or the dimples. Sweet pop rocks, the dimples!

You’re not supposed to meet the male of your dreams in prison, but tell that to fate. Too bad I’m not as out of reach from the troubles hunting me down as I thought…and now, there’s nowhere to run because, like, I got myself imprisoned. FML.

Title: Conveniently Convicted

I was a fan of the Prison Paranormal Series ever since I caught glimpse of it.

Just to be clear here, before reading Ivy Asher and Raven Kennedy I was NOT a fan of the less known shifters / vamps and little wolves. I don’t know why, I just refused to like it, I guess. But then I stumbled into the Pack of Misfits and Raven Kennedy changed my mind and made me cheer for a shifter duck.

So naturally, this is the first book I’ve read in this new Prison trend and I can say that I really enjoyed it. It’s an easy read, the heroine is hilarious. I found myself laughing out loud many times.

Sufficient to say, yes, it’s not your usual PNR Romance, but hot damn, did I enjoy it.

So, this one is about a very stubborn cockatrice and how she went willingly to jail to avoid her forced match.

I had a feeling on how it will end, but I kind of was pleasingly surprised to be right. But no spoilers here, hehe –

When Sinclair finally manages to get into Nightmare Penitentiary she is proven that things are not so dandy as she thought they were. Especially when another cockatrice is one of the guards there.

After that, it’s not a surprise she’s a little troublemaker but things turn out to be in her advantage.

I really really enjoyed this one and I hear good reviews about the rest of the books in this series.

Hope you enjoy!

Reese (Pack of Misfits #2) by Raven Kennedy

Five years ago, I saw something I shouldn’t have.

Ominous, right? But what really sucks is I got caught. I’ve been trapped as my animal ever since, hidden away and forced to stay shifted and silent.

Until one day, when I get brought to a pet shop where a shifter recognizes me for what I am and brings me to her pack. A really friggen weird pack.

I need to get out of here.

But then I see him—the male wearing the chain around his neck. Maybe it’s his scent or his shiny stuff that draws me in. Either way, I’m going to bite him so good…just as soon as he stops fighting me off.

Surprisingly, this pack is starting to look a lot less weird and a lot more like home. Too bad the shadows of my past are hunting me down for ratting them out. Life isn’t easy as a new misfit, but it is worth the fight.

Author’s note: This is book 2 in the Pack of Misfits series and is not a reverse harem story. Each book will have a different mate dynamic. Every story is a stand-alone, but it is best if you start with Addie’s book. Intended for mature audiences 18 years and older.

Addie was great and when book 2 came out, I just had to have it.

It’s not the best one. But I had a great fun reading it. The concept is different and I love her idea of writing about a pack of misfits.

Reese is a rat pack, who has been spending the last 5 years in her animal, against her will. She saw something she was not supposed to see and her old Alpha punished her. It’s easy to say her life has been bad these last years and when she is finally rescued, trusting someone else it’s not an easy job.

Once she is released from her old Alpha, her new life begins. But her heat comes at the worst moment and someone needs to help her right? Luckily, Luca’s animal is very fond of his Mousey and they connect right away.

Her rat is fun and the stealing stuff is hilarious. We get introduced on more side characters and I can’t wait to read them all.

Addie (Pack of Misfits #1) by Raven Kennedy

I live with a pack of misfit shifters.

Freaks. Rogues. Oddballs. Prey. Runts. Deformed. We’re all welcome in Pack Aberrant.

We aren’t going to be winning any popularity contests, but our hodgepodge bunch is more loyal than even the strongest pred packs. I should know. I grew up in one of them. As soon as they realized I was different, I was despised, even by my own family.

So I left, joined Pack Aberrant, and I’ve steered clear of alpha pred assholes ever since. Until my heatwave hits, and I accidentally jump three coyote shifters in a parking lot. Whoopsie.

Once they realize what my animal is, they’re gonna kick me to the curb just like every other pred shifter has. And my old pack? They come back to haunt me.

I’m unwanted by the three hotties, threatened by my old pack, and to top it all off, I have to find a new job because I attacked a bank robber. Accidentally.

Being a misfit really sucks sometimes.

Author’s Note: This was originally released as a short story in the Shifting Destiny anthology. It has now been expanded into a full-length novel. Puns still included.

Addie’s story is book one in the Pack of Misfits series. Every book will be a standalone for that character, but a continuation of the Pack Aberrant story. Book one is a reverse harem with multiple love interests with the main character. However, this is NOT a reverse harem series. Some main characters in this series will have monogamous relationships.

*This is intended for ages 18 and older due to sexual content and strong language.

Title: Addie (Pack of Misfits #1)
Author: Raven Kennedy
Publication Date: May 27th, 2019
Shelves: Contemporary; Romance; RH
Format: Kindle (241 pages)
Rating: 10/10

First of all, I am sorry for being a complete b*tch because I was thinking what the hell???? Is the heroine a duck shifter? But after reading this book, and the lessons in it… I get it now and I loved every word of it.

The story goes like this: Addie, a duck shifter has been born in a predatory only pack. Until she reached the age of 15, she was bullied constantly and fled as soon as she had the chance. Now, she is part of the Misfits, a pack that takes in all the unwanted, the ones that were seemed unfit to their own packs.

They are more than a pack, they are family.

Addie’s problems mixed up with the fact that she accidentally mated 3 coyote shifters will be everything you want to read. The book was hilarious, and I could not put it down.

Not to mention that the boys judged her for her animal, but you’ll see a lot of groveling from them.

Wicked Webs by Raven Kennedy & Coralee June

I’m possessed. Deadly.

Raised as a vampire, I’m no stranger to blood. But when power-hungry supes force a ritual on me, I become something else entirely:

The Black Widow.

At first, my only companion is the spider that lives within me. She makes me strong, and I revel in that power, but it’s fueled with the need to feed.

Unfortunately, carnal cannibalism isn’t exactly trending. But in order to survive, I have to feed off the essence of my victims. By the time they see the hourglass on my throat, I’m draining them dry.

But there are more supes like me. Abducted victims forced into possessions that change their lives forever. I’m determined to save them all.

With the help of a hybrid and his crow army, a risk demon, and a rare gargoyle, I put a plan into motion that will end Spector Inc.’s plan to make an army of stronger, deadlier supes.

I just hope I can handle this wicked web of lies and make it out alive.

Wicked Webs is the prequel for Void.
