Talk Nerdy to Me (Sterling Shore #12) by C.M. Owens

Despite the fact it seemed like Base Masters was all over Sterling Shore, I’d never really known much about him, aside from random factoids. Things like… he’s a semi-estranged cousin of one of my brother’s friends, plays guitar in a local band, and he doesn’t get mentioned much unless he’s on stage.

Until… he decided I was going to be his first real-life muse, moved himself into my spare room, and started splashing the walls with pictures of my face next to his lyrics…

His weirdness differs from mine, but he’d be a perfect candidate for my hymen situation. Then I could finally move on to the next personal challenge on my list. The only problem is that he’s yet another man afraid of a virgin.

I genuinely never expected it to be so difficult to lose one’s virginity. I think the world has filled me with false expectations of debauchery coming so easily.

The human element always messes up the plans in my head.

Talk Nerdy To Me is the story of little Brit as she is next for her story.

We’ve known Brit since book 3, when Dane Sterling found out he has a half sister. She is extremely smart, has a memory of a dictionary and is a little bit awkward. Let’s just say she is not used to having social skills.

While we had guesses on things she’s said during the series, now we finally get into her mind.

It’s hilarious and you will love the brotherly love the guys have for her.

In her quest to get rid of her virginity, she stumbles on Base Masters, the solist of the band that plays at Dane’s club and also Tag’s cousin. He doesn’t know what hit him.

Base has been introduced little by little, more so when the girls go to watch him because he is gorgeous.

I am happy that Brit is with Base since they are the characters we’ve seen along the way.

In this book we get the final cliffhangers to the last book: The Wedding. Be sure to give me your thoughts on this one.

That Guy by Kim Jones

He’s That Guy.

You know, the hero in almost every romance novel.

The super-rich, powerful CEO who is beyond sexy. Lives in a penthouse. Is wicked in bed. Has massive…feet. Is kind of a jerk, but really he’s not because he harbors some major secret that, once revealed, explains why he is the way he is—therefore completely redeeming himself and making all the readers who hated to love him swoon….

Yeah. That one.

Well, I found him.

I’m a writer who has spent years searching for the perfect muse.

Now that I know he exists, I have a mission.

To make him fall in love with me.

This should be easy. I mean, I have issues, but above all, I’m a great catch.

Problem is, I did a stupid thing.

And now he hates me.

Unfortunately for him, he’s my That Guy.

And he’s going to love me….

Whether he wants to or not.

Usually, some blurbs give vague descriptions, but I think in this book,. the blurb is quite explanatory.

This hilarious book had me laugh out loud, because Penelope is nuts. I mean how do one even approach this book?

First, if you haven’t read this one, I HIGHLY recommend it. It’s fun and witty, and you’ll have a smile the whole time reading this book.

Penelope is an author and she’s looking for THAT GUT. Once she finds Jake, she goes out of her way to get him. Right? Because he’s THAT GUY.

SO, my suggestion is to read this book for yourself. Expect a lot of  laughs and don’t take this the wrong way, but threat it as a Rom-Com and you’ll love it.

Mister Tonight by Kendall Ryan

From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a standalone romance about a swoony single dad and the new neighbor he falls for.

Last night was the most embarrassing night of my life.

I was that girl.

You know, the highly intoxicated chick celebrating her thirtieth birthday with her two best friends—who are happily married. And the more I drank, the more I wanted to do something reckless to celebrate.

By reckless, I mean the sexy and alluring man dressed in a business suit standing near the bar. You know his type—tall, dark, handsome. I was sure he was out of my league, but I’d had just enough alcohol that things like that no longer seemed to matter. I’m not fat, mind you, but you can tell I like french fries, so there’s that.

He took me home, and I enjoyed the hottest birthday sex of my life. Well, until it came to a screeching and rather unwelcome halt.

There’s nothing quite like being interrupted mid-ride with a little voice asking, “What are you doing to my daddy?”

Just kill me now . . . or so I thought.

Come to find out, the man I rode like a bull at the rodeo is my new landlord.

WOW, I loved this book.

What started of with a meaningless birthday one night stand, turned into more when a little girl interrupts you in the makes of it.

This is why Kate feels like when Hunter’s 4 year-old daughter asks what she is doing to her daddy.

This is one story I was devouring like crazy. It’s funny and sweet and I am weak when it comes to single parents.

To top it off, Kate’s humiliation reaches higher grounds when Hunter turns out to be her landlord.

Again, I know I keep myself from spoilers, but please PLEASE read this one. It’s a standalone and so funny and sweet, it’s a no brainer.

GO. BUY.THIS.DAMN.BOOK.

Cocky Bastard by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

From New York Times Bestsellers, Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland, comes a sexy new standalone novel.

He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska.

A sexy, cocky, Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive.

When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually-tense nights in hotels and taking unplanned detours.

My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense.

I wanted him, but Chance wouldn’t make a move. I thought he wanted me too, but something was holding him back.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for the cocky bastard, especially when I knew we’d be going our separate ways.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

Author’s note – Cocky Bastard is a full-length standalone novel. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

I am a fan of the world of the Cocky Hero Club. Cocky Bastard is one of the book that will inspire a lot of authors to write in this world.

It’s a standalone so you can enjoy it and know you will not want to put the damn book down. Trust me.

Aubrey is moving to another town. She has a lot of miles to her destination, so when she meets a cocky Australian at a gas station, the chemistry between them starts abruptly.

What is more strange is that this hotshot guy has a bike that won’t start, leaving him asking for Aubrey’s help to reach the next town.

It you’re looking for a road trip romance, you’re in for one hell of a ride.

During their travel together, the attraction becomes to hard to handle and feelings set early on. But Chase has a secret that will destroy any future they might have.

After years have passed, Chance wants his second chance, but they way he left Aubrey has her heart broken. Will she listen to him? Will she pause her life to give him another chance? It’s funny how the name matches his wish.

Read the book, meet the goat and tell me all about it. You’ll know what I’m talking about.

Taming a Maverick (Sterling Shore #11) by C.M. Owens

SALEM

Just some fun. Just one night of reckless, harmless, wild fun.

That’s what I told myself the night I hooked up with quite possibly the sexiest guy I’ve ever known. Only, I didn’t want to KNOW him. Life is a series of temporary situations, or so it’s always been for me. A future revolves around the next move, but I’m still the type to live in the moment on a seldom occasion, consequences be damned.

Unless that moment happens to be unknowingly landing in bed with my brand new stepbrother. The universe is a mean, twisted jerk. And one consequence is that I have to be around him and get to know him. The worst consequence is the fact that Maverick Sterling, the infamous playboy who can’t possibly be tamed, is really hard not to want more of once you’ve had a taste. So long as I’m not stupid enough to fall in love, it shouldn’t be a big deal. Right?

MAVERICK

My life has been blissfully simple for a really long time. I have a routine. I have friends. I have family. Yet everyone seems to have less and less time, since they’re all sort of trying to be adults or what the hell ever. I blame them for the fact the only girl to ever ditch me without a backward glance is suddenly under my skin. I blame my father for the fact she’s a new fixture in my life. Not that I knew that before I got a little overly friendly with my new stepsister. I mean, what are the odds? It shouldn’t have been possible.

But it happened. It figures the one girl I can’t get out of my head is the one girl who doesn’t want to be with me. At least in my head she’s the only girl who doesn’t want to be with me, because I tend to be arrogant like that. The point is, now she’s everywhere I turn, yet she’s marking a line in the sand that she thinks I really won’t cross.

Obviously she doesn’t know me at all.

*Can be read as a stand-alone
*Sexual Content
*Adult Language

There is no doubt that CM Owens’s Sterling Shore series is one of my absolute favorite out there.

I was fortunate to arrive late on the Sterling train, meaning I just had to wait a bit to get up to date on the last books of the series. Unfortunate, because I kissed a lot of frogs until I got my hands on this baby. I am telling you, this series is GOLD!

Maverick is the guy you want to have as a best friend. He is hilarious and his pranks on Bella made me love him more. He is a serious flirt and if you wonder who got his attention, you need to meet Salem.

Every book can be read as a standalone, but i think you would do an injustice to not starts at the beginning and get to know each and every character.

Salem and her little brother have a mother that change husbands more than often, and she is forced to move into her stepdad’s house. After she had a one night stand with the famous Maverick, she learns that they are stepbrothers. Talk about a buzz kill, but Maverick is more than interested in why Salem can resit his charm and their sexual tension is off the charts.

Imagine a female Maverick and you get Salem.

Read the damn series, I am telling you, you won’t regret it.

Tempt the Boss (Tempt #1) by Natasha Madison

Lauren
Going back to work was supposed to be a painless transition, but when my new boss turns out to be an arrogant, cocky jerk, he quickly turns my professional life into a world of torture. Okay, fine, calling him an asshat before knowing he was my boss wasn’t my finest moment. Hating him should be easy. I just never counted on him being so gorgeous or charming when he’s not annoying me.

Austin
I expected my new assistant to be professional and punctual, but all I’m getting are dirty looks and rude comments. I should fire the little hellion, but instead all I can think about is bending her over my desk and breaking every rule I’ve ever made for myself.

One look. One touch. One night. If we break the rules, our lives will never be the same again.

Good thing rules were made to be broken. And besides, it feels so good to Tempt the Boss.

Title: Tempt the Boss (Tempt #1)
Author: Natasha Madison
Publication Date: March 1st, 2017
Shelves: Contemporary; Romance;
Format: Kindle (228 pages)
Rating: 10/10

I have read this book before picking it up again, and to my shame I forgot its name but remembered from the first scene that I had to keep reading.
It’s a funny one and I enjoy them a lot.

Lauren is a mother of two who finds out her husband is cheating her with her son’s teacher. This is something that will bring her world apart and she will learn to build it back.

Gone are the few inches that she always overlooked, gone is the time her husband had everything he wanted and now it is time for 30-year-old to go back to work.
On her first day to work, she gets into a small car accident with a beautiful guy who turns out to be her boss.

From there is just a matter of time until Austin will be as temped as he can be. Because she will not be intimidated.

This game they play will make you laugh out loud.

This is book 1 from 2020 and I am really happy the way I started.

Two Captains, One Chair by Shaye Marlow (An Alaskan Romantic Comedy book 2 )

Rocking sparkly purple toenails under a pair of steel-toe boots, Suzy is a river barge captain in the Alaskan Bush. She’s a tiny gossip with big problems: her able-bodied barge boy just left her high and dry, she can’t sleep, her best friend Helly is getting all the action… and now, someone’s stolen her gold nugget.

Ed is a nice guy. He’s a bushrat with a big beard, a knack for fixing things, and a wardrobe consisting of flannel… period. He’s the only man who can help Suzy with her problems, but he’s also her most likely suspect. And Ed has a secret, one which Suzy will go to great lengths—even if those lengths are measured in rope—to uncover.

Enter Helly’s brothers, who rob Suzy of orgasms, harass her wildlife, and break her roof. Add in a whole Passion Party’s worth of tipsy women, a pet goat bent on revenge, conniving fishing guides… and Suzy’s belligerent dad, who’s got a hard-on for the law.

In the resulting madness—amongst big criminal acts, little criminal acts, and ones that are juuuust right—will Suzy have a fighting chance of finding her gold nugget? Or will she discover just how bad Ed can be?

Laugh till your face hurts with this wacky contemporary romance. Follow a cast of quirky characters as they maraud through the Alaska Bush, violating the basic tenets of civilization to bring you another sexy, ridiculous adventure.

*Can be read as a standalone.
*No cliffhanger on this steamy, feel-good romance.

Title: Two Captains, One Chair (Alaskan Romance #2)
Author: Shaye Marlow
Publication Date: November 18th, 2015
Shelves: Contemporary; Romance;
Format: Kindle (347 pages)
Rating: 10/10

I feel in love with this series since book 1. It is everything I wanted from an Alaskan Romance.

It’s fun, hot and I have re-read it sooo many times, I’ve lost count.

Suzy and Ed were introduced in book 1, Tow Cabins, One Lake. She is Helly’s best friend and Ed is the shy neighbor that helps everyone.

This book was so smartly written, that is one of my favorites. Ed has a secret. Suzy is a gossip.

When she loses her gold nugget, everyone’s a suspect and Ed is hiding something.

I loved finding out who Ed really is through Suzy’s eyes. And their chemistry is off the charts.

I highly recommend this series, and if you’re looking into Wild Ones’ vibe, this is the one for you. If you don’t know what I am talking about, I found this series while looking for books similar to CM Owen’s Wild Ones Series. Both are to die for. Trust me.

The Double Dare (Neighbor from Hell #6) by RL Mathewson

Marybeth still couldn’t believe that she’d survived this long with a friend like Darrin, but somehow she’d managed to beat the odds and not give in to temptation and smother him with a pillow while he slept.

Of course some days were more difficult than others…

For twenty years he’s been biding his time, waiting for the right moment to make his move and now that it was here…
He couldn’t seem to stop screwing up.

Author’s Note:

Every NFH novel is written so that it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone book with the exception of this one. When I started writing Double Dare it wasn’t meant to coincide with The Game Plan, but it does. So, if you haven’t read The Game Plan, you may want to wait until after you do so that you can fully enjoy this book.

Title: The Double Dare (Neighbor from Hell #6)
Author: R.L. Mathewson
Publication Date: April 24th, 2015
Shelves: Historical; Romance;
Format: Kindle (237 pages)
Rating: 8/10

Currently, The Double Dare is my least loved book of the series and I don’t really know how to explain it. Darrin and Marybeth have been best friends since they were 7 and the books tells their story while Jodi and Danny are beginning theirs.

The author made a nice job on writing this part of their family without retelling too much from the last book, since most of the family scene we have read in Truce.

I think we need a family tree, because they are so many of those Bradfords out there!

As tradition says, Darin has to blackmail and kidnap and do whatever Bradfords do in order to get himself a wife, the girl he has loved since he was a kid. Problem is she has some health issues that keeps her from going further with his plans.

All in all, fantastic series, good belly laughs and I can’t wait to read the next one!

Jetta (Pack of Misfits #3) by Raven Kennedy

I’m kind of a bitch, but you would be too if you had my life.

I was taken as a baby and trained to become an elite member of Troupe Delirium. My time with them is as permanent as the damn collar on my neck. Until Heathcliff helps me escape.

I have nothing but the clothes on my back and the good sense to get as far away as I can. But then I stumble into someone else’s territory and get snagged by a shifter-happy cop who brings me to a pack.

Pack Aberrant. The only shifter pack in the world that would actually be willing to help me. Before I know it, I’m getting attached to an enforcer and I’m fighting for these misfits who somehow thawed my heart.

But I know better. My old master is coming for me, and Heathcliff…I can’t ever really move on without Heathcliff. I guess I won’t really need to, though. There’s no way I’m making it out of this alive.

Author’s Note: This is book 3 in the Pack of Misfits series. Every story is a stand-alone, but it is best if you start with Addie’s book. Each book will have a different mate dynamic. (M/F, RH, or Menage.) Intended for mature audiences 18 years and older. Expect a take-no-shit female, humor, heat, and plenty of action. This one is a wild ride.

Title: Jetta (Pack of Misfits #3)
Author: Raven Kennedy
Publication Date: April 6th, 2020
Shelves: Contemporary; Romance; Paranormal;
Format: Kindle (486 pages)
Rating: 10/10

Just WOW. Jetta’s story was so complex and beautifully written. She is a broken person and we finally find out just how much.

Raven Kennedy did a fine job by showing her soft and hard edges.

Jetta has been a rogue from Troupe Delirium, where she was owned by a very bad man. He was actually torturing all the people in the troupe. All her life, she only knew this way of living and now she needs to go on her own and discover a brand-new world.

How can she do that when Heathcliff exchanged his life for her escape. She has to run and all while asking herself is he is still alive. And now she’s heartbroken and alone.

During this, she finds herself taken by the pack of Misfits and she soon finds out that Jericho is more than she wants to believe. And her guilt of leaving Cliff behind nearly breaks her. But Jericho knows her and wants her despite her feelings for Cliff. He encourages her to live and love. Both of them.

All this makes an abrupt stop when her owner wants one last performance of her, while betting the life of Cliff and a baby shifter of the pack.

I was questioning myself how can Jericho deal with how strong of a character Jetta truly is, but the author managed to equal everything.

I fell in love with this pack and I cannot wait to see who is next. With little hints of who might be what, the chase is fun.

As a last note, I was excited to find out Zen, a character for the Paranormal Prison Series makes an appearance. It’s fun to read an author and connect the dots.

Boss I Love to Hate (The Brisken Billionaire Brothers Book 1) by Mia Kayla

Dear Mr. Brisken,

How do I hate you?
Let me count the ways.

I hate your smug, sexy millionaire face.
I hate your cocky, skirt chasing, playboy ways.
I hate working as your secretary—but, I love the pay. It almost makes dealing with you worth it.

I hate how my friends call you a BILF, when really BILK (Boss I’d like to kill) is more appropriate.

I hate that I need you to be my date for my best friend’s wedding because my ex-boyfriend, the King of Heartbreakers, and his new busty blonde girlfriend will be in attendance.

But mostly, I hate how once the charade is over, I might not hate you at all . . .it was so much easier when you were the Boss I Love To Hate.

Title: Boss I Love To Hate
Author: Mia Kayla
Publication Date: April 26th, 2019
Shelves: Contemporary; Romance;
Format: Kindle (370 pages)
Rating: 9/10

Mia Kayla is a new to me author and I picked this one or it was picked for me as a reading challenge.

I went in blind and I loved it.

The book was funny, sweet, and office romance is one of my favorite tropes. I enjoyed Sonia and Brad’s chemistry and their work relationship.

Even though Sonia has been working for Brad always 2 years now, she has been in a relationship and has stirred clear of his “searching for the one” part. She was warned not to sleep with him, because she will be fired, just as many others before her.

But after her relationship was over, she needed someone to “upgrade” and show him off to her friend’s wedding, where her ex would bring his Barbie GF. By doing this, Brad started to see what is in front of him and his feelings for Sonia grew. He’s an a’shole but with good intentions. At least when it comes to his new fake girlfriend.

These blurred lines were overlooked when Brad figured out she meant more to him. He just needed to make her see it.

I devoured this book and I am sooooo happy Mason’s story just released and I can dive right in.

My top reads, or re-reads from Alice Clayton are Nuts and Wallbanger. I have such a rush reading them that they turn me up whenever I’m down.

I had quite a dry spell on finding good books that I became really cranky, if that’s a thing. It might be book withdrawal, but Nuts got me out of it.

It’s day 3 of 2020 and I’ve already had 5 books from my GD reading CHALLENGE.

If you love reading small town romances or ones where the heroine comes back home and she’s the focus of them all, this is the book for you.

Roxie is a personal chef in LA but when her mother signs up for a TV show, someone has to take her over the summer of their family restaurant.

She never wanted to return home but when Leo, the NUTS delivery guy shows up and they have the most fun meet up, you’ll eat this book up.

I know it’s pricey, but it is worth adding it to your hilarious book collection. Trust me!

I was in the mood to read a PNR series that would keep me up at night. This is one of those books that you can’t help but finish it as soon as you can. Take some time off before starting this, because you won’t put these damn books away.

Willa Knight is a dweller but one that does not meet the charts. She’s different, commanding but foolishly clumsy. There’s always something going on around her. Tripping, falling, burning down the buildings by accidents… yup, that’s her.

And this is how she catches the attention of 5 sols when she accidentally found herself at Blesswood, the academy of sols training to be gods of Topia.

What she did not know is that her uniqueness will make her wanted by this 5 beautiful powerful sols.

Our Abcurses boys are:
Siret – gift of Trickery
Yael – gift of Persuasion.
Coen – gift of pain
Rome – gift of strength
Aros – gift of Seduction.

Topia is giving them no choice: they survive together, or the war is lost.

Neutral is all about Cyrus and his fascination about Emmy. I think he’s too lonely and looks to the way Willa is to her guys.

When Willa Freaking Night makes Emily a God, the game has changed drastically.

While she is recovering form her gift sharing, Cyrus and Emily become more. They go on a search to see what type of God she is.

Of course he’ll ask for everything in return for his protection.

I think I have a whole new idea of what’s going into Cyrus’ head and I love their story.

Willa and the Abcurse brothers are back, and more determined than ever to stick by each other. Unfortunately, Staviti has other plans, plans that threaten to change the natural order of the worlds—though nobody really understands why. His agenda may very well affect all beings on Minatsol, even those that thought themselves safe in Topia. Even Willa-invincible-Knight.
Unsure with her new place in the worlds, Willa must follow the Abcurses to their new post: Champions Peak, a secluded mountain far from civilization, where the most powerful sols have been summoned to hone their abilities through direct contact with the gods.
There is a chance that she might survive her time on the mountain, but it seems like staying alive amidst the powerful occupants of the Peak is the least of her concerns.
Her real problem is staying on the mountain at all.

I think I started this Series again to reach book 4. It’s one of my favorite in the series and damn… it will be worth your time.

Willa is unsure of her place in this world of Gods. She is dead and now a Beta? A God? Keep reading and find out.

She’ll do some badass things that will leave you with your mouth hang open.

Staviti has plans for them all and not a good one. They were sent back to Minatsol and need to teach the most powerful sols to ascend to Topia. The ones that fail, will be killed alongside their teachers.

Can I say now that Willa is part of this? Of course she is, because she always finds herself in the most dangerous circumstances.

I encourage you to read Neutral as well. It’s short but tells the story until Willa wakes up from her long nap.

Seduction (Curse of the Gods #3) by Jaymin Eve & Jane Washington

Willa Knight: Dweller? Sol? Accidental evolutionary hiccup?

Willa has never been a particularly useful dweller: she isn’t very good at chores, she isn’t very good at worshipping, she isn’t very good at not having opinions, and she isn’t very good with rules—but none of that matters anymore.
The rules are changing.
The dwellers are trying to make their own way in the world, and Willa can’t seem to help getting tangled up in their plans.
Luckily, she has the Abcurse brothers to help her out—until she doesn’t, and suddenly she’s alone again in a world on the brink of chaos. With the Abcurses gone, she’ll have to rely on her wits, and her sister Emmy, to stay under the radar and survive.
Because someone wants her dead.

But, really, what else is new?

This is a full novel, 90,000 words. Book 3 of 5 in the Curse of the Gods Series

Willa Knight is not your typical dweller and not your typical beta. She plays be her own games and the boys are in for the ride.

The fact that she clumsily starts a rebellion of the dwellers is something only she would do. She has the support of the boys and she’s changing the rules of their world.

When the Abcurses are taken back to Topia for their punishment, she is alone with the people who want her gone.

As a Beta of Chaos, she is wanted dead to ascend to power. But everybody has a different plan and it won’t go accordingly, as always.

I love the boys and how there are very beautifully written as different as their powers.

This 3rd book has more funny, but a little bit of emotional for you since you’ve come so far and Willa is dear to your heart.

Siret – gift of Trickery
Yael – gift of Persuasion.
Coen – gift of pain
Rome – gift of strength
Aros – gift of Seduction.

Persuasion (Curse of the Gods #2) by Jaymin Eve & Jane Washington

Willa Knight: Dweller? Bad-ass? Notorious pet to five magical beings?

In Blesswood, there are rules, and someone is trying to teach her how to follow them. The only problem is Willa. Which shouldn’t be anything new, since she has been a problem since birth—something her pseudo-sister Emmy would agree on.

So it definitely shouldn’t be new … but it is.

Because things are starting to happen that have never happened before.

Things are starting to get …chaotic.

This is a full novel, 90,000 words. Book 2 of 5 in the Curse of the Gods Series

Willa Knight has proven to be more than just a dweller, but we need to go through the series to find out more.

The pace of the story is just enough to give you something and then crave for more and more answers.

This is my 2nd time reading the series and I can say I appreciate it more now. If you’re starting this now, be thankful because you can binge read it.

The Abcurses have taken Will under their wings and the Gods have noticed. Their connection is building, but at a slower pace. They still see her as vulnerable, even though she proves herself to be more and more badass, at least in her head.

A lot of clumsy later, more tripping and falling, she begins to form a bit of power.

I loved it and please keep reading. It’s a series that you’ll remember.

Junk Mail is the new standalone book of Kendall Ryan.

Blurb:

It all started with a sexy selfie.

Texted to the wrong number.

Oops.

Not my finest moment—but I have nothing to be ashamed of.

She thought I was no better, and I quote, than the knuckle-dragging douche-bags she was never dating again.

It was a stupid dare from a girl I’d met online, but since she’d given me a fake number, I didn’t feel bad that my interests were suddenly focused elsewhere—on the fiery and sharp-tongued, Peyton that I found myself sparring with over text for the rest of the evening.

The following day, my case of mistaken identity came back to bite me in the banana.

When I strolled into the office, I was introduced to Peyton as the new client I needed to win over. ThePeyton, in case you’re not tracking.

And let’s just say she had my full attention.

Brains? Check.

Beauty? Oh yeah.

And the best part? She hated me on sight.

Dear God, do I love a challenge.

Let the games begin.

I think some of you have thought what you’ll do IF you receive a sexy selfie, more in the line of a sick pick. I am sure some of you already have (snicker) … Well, Kendall Ryan made that a reality in her book.

If you’re in the mood of a romantic comedy, this book is for you. It was an easy read, funny and sexy as hell.

Peyton and Josh’s story started on the fun side and ended hot and heavy.

The thing about this wrong number thing has gone wrong the next day when Peyton went to find out her new business partner and surprise, surprise… it’s hot number guy, Josh.

Josh and his best friend own Wine O’clock and they need someone to partner with. This is where Peyton comes in, but now she knows more intimate information on her soon to be partner.

The attraction between them is crazy hot and this work romance has been a great read for me. I love all of Kendall Ryan’s book and Junk Mail hit the spot.

Trickery (Curse of the Gods #1) by Jaymin Eve & Jane Washington

Willa Knight: Dweller. Slave. Non-magical being.

In Minatsol, being a dweller means that you are literally no better than dirt. In fact, dirt might actually be more useful than Willa. Her life will be one of servitude to the sols, the magic-blessed beings who could one day be chosen to become gods.

At least her outer village is far removed from the cities of the sols, and she won’t ever be forced to present herself to them… Until one small mistake changes everything, and Willa is awarded a position to serve at Blesswood, the top sol academy in the world—a position that she definitely did not earn.

Under the sudden, watchful eye of the gods, she will be tasked to serve the Abcurse brothers, five sols built of arrogance, perfection and power. They are almost gods themselves, and under their service she is either going to end up sentenced to death, or else they are going to ruin her so badly that she will wish for it.

Either way, she is in trouble.

Siret – gift of Trickery
Yael – gift of Persuasion.
Coen – gift of pain
Rome – gift of strength
Aros – gift of Seduction.

Reese (Pack of Misfits #2) by Raven Kennedy

Five years ago, I saw something I shouldn’t have.

Ominous, right? But what really sucks is I got caught. I’ve been trapped as my animal ever since, hidden away and forced to stay shifted and silent.

Until one day, when I get brought to a pet shop where a shifter recognizes me for what I am and brings me to her pack. A really friggen weird pack.

I need to get out of here.

But then I see him—the male wearing the chain around his neck. Maybe it’s his scent or his shiny stuff that draws me in. Either way, I’m going to bite him so good…just as soon as he stops fighting me off.

Surprisingly, this pack is starting to look a lot less weird and a lot more like home. Too bad the shadows of my past are hunting me down for ratting them out. Life isn’t easy as a new misfit, but it is worth the fight.

Author’s note: This is book 2 in the Pack of Misfits series and is not a reverse harem story. Each book will have a different mate dynamic. Every story is a stand-alone, but it is best if you start with Addie’s book. Intended for mature audiences 18 years and older.

Addie was great and when book 2 came out, I just had to have it.

It’s not the best one. But I had a great fun reading it. The concept is different and I love her idea of writing about a pack of misfits.

Reese is a rat pack, who has been spending the last 5 years in her animal, against her will. She saw something she was not supposed to see and her old Alpha punished her. It’s easy to say her life has been bad these last years and when she is finally rescued, trusting someone else it’s not an easy job.

Once she is released from her old Alpha, her new life begins. But her heat comes at the worst moment and someone needs to help her right? Luckily, Luca’s animal is very fond of his Mousey and they connect right away.

Her rat is fun and the stealing stuff is hilarious. We get introduced on more side characters and I can’t wait to read them all.
