The Bound Witch (The Osseous Chronicles Book 3) by Ivy Asher

What do you do when you thought it was all over, only to realize it’s all just begun?

I died.

I looked into Rogan Kendrick’s eyes, told him I loved him…and then I died.

So how the hell am I standing naked in the middle of a morgue, doing my best not to freak the fuck out?

I’m a Bone Witch, or at least I was before Rogan bound us together. Blood magic now flows through my veins too, and I think somehow the man I shouldn’t love, the one who betrayed me, who couldn’t choose me…has saved me.

If the High Council finds out they’ll hunt us, and they won’t be the only ones. A certain bastard demon did promise to see me soon.

I don’t know exactly what the hell is going on, but I do know this: My name is Lennox Osseous and it’s time to show them why you don’t fuck with the Bone Witch.

Rabid (Kingdom of Wolves #6) by Ivy Asher & Raven Kennedy

I’ve been waiting my whole life to get my wolf. But now that the time is here, I need to run. ⁣

Three years ago, a nightmare of an alpha took over my pack by force, and ever since, he’s been trying to do the same to me.

I can’t let that happen.⁣

I need to escape him before he can lay a claim, flee from what I’ve always wanted, or risk getting a wolf that will submit to him. ⁣

But nothing goes to plan. When I’m forced to take on my wolf spirit, my alpha attacks, and the fight shatters us in ways we never knew possible. ⁣

Now we’re broken. Jagged. Rabid. ⁣

To punish me, punish us for not submitting, my new wolf and I are thrown away to a savage pack, where we come face to face with Ruin Falls and the biggest monster of them all. ⁣

Alpha Tyran. ⁣

But…maybe a monster is exactly what a rabid bitch like me needs. ⁣

Will my wolf and I snap, lost to our fractured savagery? Or will this ferocious alpha teach us just what our broken nature is capable of? Maybe we can get our revenge.

…That is, if we’re rabid enough to take it.

This is a standalone book set in a shared world.

Authors note: This book is a dark shifter romance. There are elements of strong language, violence, assault, and other situations that may be triggering.

The Blood Witch (The Osseous Chronicles Book 2) by Ivy Asher

I never saw it coming…the bones…the magic…the betrayal.

It’s no longer a question of who I can trust—the answer is no one. Now, it’s about survival.

I’m in the heart of the Order, trying to solve a series of mysterious disappearances, while doing everything that I can not to become bait.

Enemies are circling, and they can’t seem to decide if they see me as a pawn or as a threat. Oh, and there’s that little issue of being tethered to Rogan, who I now want to kill.

It’s time to figure out just what I’m capable of though. Because fool me once…shame on you. But fool me twice…and I will crush your bones to dust.

My name is Lennox Osseous, and I’m about to unleash the wrath of the Bone Witch.

The Bone Witch (The Osseous Chronicles Book 1) by Ivy Asher

I never thought in a million years that the bones would choose me.

The power, the magic, was supposed to go to someone else in the family. I was counting on it.

But now my Grammy Ruby is gone, and here the bones sit on my kitchen table.

I thought bitter relatives would be my biggest problem. But I’ve barely had time to find a familiar before trouble comes a-knocking. The kind that possesses smoldering green eyes and a smile that can turn any woman dumb.

His name is Rogan Kendrick, and he’s certain that someone is hunting down and taking my kind.

According to him, I’m next.

This is a world that I never wanted to be a part of, but magic gives no fucks and takes no prisoners… At least we have that much in common.

I don’t know what my ancestors were thinking when they chose me, but I’m going to give them a run for their money. My name is Lennox Osseous, but you can call me the Bone Witch.

Grave Signs (Hellgate Guardians Book 4) by Ivy Asher & Raven Kennedy

I’ve spent my whole life seeing monsters, but they could never see me back…until now.

Turns out, I’m not crazy like I’ve spent my whole life believing. Too bad it took being locked in a cage and tortured almost to the point of insanity to realize that.

But I’m not alone.

In a cage to my left, there’s a monster who’s given up hope. He stays in the shadows and moves with chains wrapped around him, but his golden eyes watch. To my right, there’s a girl with purple wings and familiar gray eyes.

She says she’s my sister, and not just that, but apparently I’m half demon, half angel, and to make it out of here, I have to embrace the new wings on my back and the scythe in my hand.

Now I have to choose to either submit to my captor, or fight.

I’m about to learn that sometimes you have to become a monster to beat the monster.

Grave Decisions (Hellgate Guardians Book 3) by Ivy Asher & Raven Kennedy

My name is Medley Bell, and if you had told me this time last week that I was demon, then I’d have said you were nuttier than a squirrel turd.

Of course, that was before I started seeing the strangest things. I’ve always been a little off, but it took stumbling into a backwater bar to understand how different I really am.

So when two drool-worthy guys stop by to tell me that I’m Hell spawn just like them, I’m more relieved than shocked. I mean, it sure does explain a lot.

Now, I just have to convince my mama and daddy that they can’t come with me on my first trip to Hell, deal with a hellish biological family I never knew I had, and keep from getting kidnapped by some weird Morax fella with snakes for hair.

Things are about to get crazy around here. I guess it’s a good thing I like that.

Go into Hell, the hot demons said.
It’ll be no big deal, they said.

Grave Mistakes (Hellgate Guardians Book 1) by Ivy Asher & Raven Kennedy

It’s never a good combo to be broke and desperate. You do stupid things. Like accidentally sign your soul over to Hell.

When I interviewed for a new security job, I didn’t bat an eye that it was for a literal graveyard shift…headstones and all. I mean, at the hourly rate they were offering, who cares? I got this.

Turns out, I’m not guarding a graveyard like I thought. It seems I’ve just walked my broke ass into protecting a Gate to Hell. Yeah…I don’t got this.

Now I’m stuck in a terrifying new reality: a group of hot demons who act like I can solve all their problems, and a battle between good, evil, and balance.

This will seriously teach me to read the fine print on Help Wanted ads. Good thing this job comes with a scythe. Maybe I can use it to stop them from dragging my ass into Hell.

The Reclamation (Shadowed Wings #3) by Ivy Asher

The last place I ever wanted to be was in the middle of someone else’s war. Too bad fate doesn’t give a fuck.

When I first woke up in the land of the gryphons, I had one goal…getting back home.

I was so focused on figuring out how to leave, that I got myself exiled from The Hidden, captured by The Avowed, and managed to claim not one, but three mates. Although I had no idea about that last one until it was too late.

Oh right, and then I almost died.

I thought having my throat slit from ear to ear was going to be the worst of my problems.
But my asshole mates make coming back from the brink of death look like a glide through the sky compared to dealing with them.

I’m ready to accept my fate and right the wrongs of the past. I just wish I had some idea how to keep the pricks I’m bound to from fighting long enough so we can to find the help we need.

I’m supposed to awaken all that I am in order to finally free the gryphons, But will I find the key to unlock all the answers in time?

War is breathing down our backs, and if we can’t figure out how to come together…we’re all going to die.

The Lost and the Chosen (The Lost Sentinel #1) by Ivy Asher

My name is Vinna, and I’ve been keeping a lot of secrets.

You would too if you’d experienced some of the weird shit I have: red-eyed monsters chasing me, markings on my body appearing out of nowhere, a strange power that crackles colorfully over my skin from time to time, and don’t get me started on the weapons I can conjure up almost out of nowhere.

Lucky for me, I have yet to meet someone whose ass I couldn’t kick, inside the ring or out. I put that to the test when I run headfirst into a fight that brings all my secrets, and reality as I know it, crashing down around me.

Now, I’m looking for answers and trying to piece together what the hell is going on. Paranormal is my new way of life. It’s not going to be easy, and I’m not exactly welcome.

That is, until I meet the boys, and trust me, they are anything but boyish.

I’m up against elders who think I’m too powerful, a family who views me as a threat, and something lurking in the shadows that’s been coming for me my whole life.

There’s not a chance in hell I’m going down without a fight. I’m not lost anymore, and I’m about to show this world exactly what I can do.

Title: The Lost and The Chosen
Author: Ivy Asher
Publication Date: November 17th, 2018
Shelves: Paranormal; Romance; Reverse Harem;
Format: Kindle (317 pages)
Rating: 8/10

I love Paranormal Romance, so of course I had to dive right into the world of Casters and Sentinels of Ivy Asher’s.

At first, I got a bit confused because I knew this was an RH, but I could not understand the relations between Vinna and the 5 men that found her. So, to clear that a bit, they are the Paladin and one of them is her uncle, but she’ll be romantically involved with this crew’s sons.

She is quite the force and the guys are blown away by how powerful she is. This is how she ends up in the town of supernaturals, Solace.
Her uncle’s coven is formed from:
Evrin – healing magic
Silva – defensive magic
Aydin Calix – elemental magic
Lachlan Aylin – offensive magic
Keegan – spell magic

Then, she meets the boys and soon we find out that they are her harem. The boys are:

Bastien and Valen: the twins
Knox
Ryker
Sabin

Since we got this under control now, let’s say the first book tells the story of how Vinna came to the world and finally, she will have the answers to what she really is. Since she’s new to the paranormal world, she has to figure it out little by little, but with every answer rise more questions.

Related to character development, I felt a bit strange because I kind of felt the guys as boys, and not the men training to become Paladins. Probably since she was younger in my mind and this transferred to the boys.

Vinna Aylin is the last of her kind and she is being hunted for her skills. Luckily, now, she is not alone since her boys … aham.. men, are along for the ride.

Conveniently Convicted (Paranormal Prison) by Ivy Asher & Raven Kennedy

Nightmare Penitentiary is no joke. The worst of the worst in the paranormal world end up at NP, and I just got sentenced there.

For others, this might be cause for freaking the hell out. But for me, it’s a fucking relief.

You see, I’ve been sold off to the big bad asshole, Alpha Bowen—thanks mom and dad! But if they think I’m going to go quietly, or at all, they haven’t been paying attention to how I roll.

Nightmare Penitentiary is the perfect place to escape, and I’m ready. If only people would stop trying to break me out. Seriously, it’s annoying.

I’m ready to relax and serve my sentence, but then I meet the prison guard, Rook. I can’t seem to escape his heated stares, the head wobbles, or the dimples. Sweet pop rocks, the dimples!

You’re not supposed to meet the male of your dreams in prison, but tell that to fate. Too bad I’m not as out of reach from the troubles hunting me down as I thought…and now, there’s nowhere to run because, like, I got myself imprisoned. FML.

Format: Kindle (280 pages)
Rating: 10/10

I was a fan of the Prison Paranormal Series ever since I caught glimpse of it.

Just to be clear here, before reading Ivy Asher and Raven Kennedy I was NOT a fan of the less known shifters / vamps and little wolves. I don’t know why, I just refused to like it, I guess. But then I stumbled into the Pack of Misfits and Raven Kennedy changed my mind and made me cheer for a shifter duck.

So naturally, this is the first book I’ve read in this new Prison trend and I can say that I really enjoyed it. It’s an easy read, the heroine is hilarious. I found myself laughing out loud many times.

Sufficient to say, yes, it’s not your usual PNR Romance, but hot damn, did I enjoy it.

So, this one is about a very stubborn cockatrice and how she went willingly to jail to avoid her forced match.

I had a feeling on how it will end, but I kind of was pleasingly surprised to be right. But no spoilers here, hehe –

When Sinclair finally manages to get into Nightmare Penitentiary she is proven that things are not so dandy as she thought they were. Especially when another cockatrice is one of the guards there.

After that, it’s not a surprise she’s a little troublemaker but things turn out to be in her advantage.

I really really enjoyed this one and I hear good reviews about the rest of the books in this series.

Hope you enjoy!

The Avowed (Shadowed Wings #2) by Ivy Asher

Just when I think things are starting to look up…I manage to get myself kidnapped.

All I want to do is figure out how the hell to get home. But instead, I’ve been shot out of the sky, netted, half drowned, and now I’ve been taken to Kestrel City, home of the Avowed.

The Hidden claim the Avowed are the enemy, but I’m about to learn nothing is ever just black and white.
Well, except maybe for my gryphon.

I need to keep Pigeon and her wandering eye on a tight leash. Which is a hell of a lot easier said than done. She has an appetite for assholes and secrets, and there’s plenty of both flying around here.

Can I keep my head down, my wings folded, and Pigeon in check long enough to find the answers I’ve been looking for?

I sure as fuck hope so, but it’s not looking so good.

Book 2 of the Shadowed Wings left me wanting for more. The 3rd one releases in May and the cliffy made me whimper.

Zeph made her go away because she accidentally said something she was not supposed to say. Now, Falon finds herself caught by The Avowed and the shocking thing is that Ryn is one of them. confused, she is forced to go with them.

When they believe her lies that she knows nothing about the rebels, she is marked and allowed to live in their city.

Treno is the “boss” brother and wants her as soon as he sees her. I was a bit confused because this mating thing seemed a bit forced. I honestly did not believe it to be true until the end.

The “little sparrow” has 3 mates now and their life are linked. I see now that she needs to be important for both parties of this war.

The story has still more gaps in and the cliffhanger in the end does not help. At. All.

I hope Zeph comes in to save the day. And her…

The Hidden (Shadowed Wings #1) by Ivy Asher

I am a latent wolf shifter.
Or so I thought.

Then life as I knew it changed in a flash—or more accurately, an electrocution.

I’ve woken up in a strange place, surrounded by strange people who hate me. They’re in the middle of a war, and I look like I belong on the wrong side of it.

If that’s not enough to qualify as a really bad day, I now have wings and a strange animal to figure out, because it turns out that there’s not a damn latent thing about me.

If I want to live, I have to prove that I’m not the spy I’m accused of being. Then I need to figure out how the fuck to get back home before all hell breaks loose. Too bad my animal has zero interest in working with me unless it has to do with the two hot assholes that lead this rebel group.

I’m on my own, in a place I’ve never even heard of, with threats I don’t know how to defeat. And lucky me, I might as well have a rotisserie chicken living inside of me for all the help my newly discovered gryphon is.

Perfect. Just fucking perfect.

Title: The Hidden (Shadowed Wings #1)

I was in such a mood to find a good PNR romance that I searched and searched and finally I stumbled upon The Hidden and Thank you Dear GOD!!!!!

I was hooked from the beginning and trust me when I say my day was not free to read, but that it just what I did. I binged the 2 books out so fast, that when the 2nd book was finished I cursed and cursed.
So, The Hidden follows Fallon, a latent wolf shifter who goes to spread her Gran’s ashes, but she finds herself in another realm. There she finds out she’s something else and the joy to get into harmony with her gryphon.

She gets attacked by one of the Hidden and soon she finds herself in their “camp”. They are the rebels to the Highborn, but the story is just in the beginning and we only hear her side of the story. Little by little, she discovers this new world and gets close to Zeph and Ryn, the 1st and 2nd in command there.

The book is funny and Fallon has the best comebacks.

“You useless fucking pigeon,” I shout at my gryphon, turning my rage on her. “I wish you were a wolf instead of a rotisserie chicken, you worthless buffalo wing!”

I checked by curiosity the review on GD and I was surprised because there are not that many good ones. By I really loved it and I am happy I did not check it before. This is a case where I think I would have based a damn good series.

If you loved Sign of Cupidity and Bewitched and Bewildered, I think this series is for you, since it gave me THAT vibe. I loved it.
