The Giant’s Captive (Fairy Tale Heat Book 10) by Lidiya Foxglove

“Did you come here to seduce me, little mite? I think you leave me no choice but to teach you a lesson.”

I’m the tallest unmarried girl in my village…and also taller than all the boys. This did nothing for my prospects of finding love. So instead, I went off to seek my fortune. It led me to a circus by the sea…and rumors of the last living giant. Apparently, he doesn’t much care for people, but the ringmaster offers me riches beyond my dreams if I can entice him to come down from his home in the forest. The ringmaster seems to think “a beautiful girl who nearly comes up to a giant’s tit” (his words, not mine) might be a lure.

Well, it was fortune I was seeking, and fortune I’m determined to find, so I climb the magic beanstalk to his hidden home, but…the giant is not amused by my plan. At all. And it turns out, his home is one big trap of faery vines.

I’m snared by an antisocial but surprisingly handsome giant–and for the first time in my life, I’ve met a man who makes me feel delicate. He might want to punish me for trespassing, but…it feels more like passion. Only, the world isn’t safe for the last giant, and maybe it’s not safe for a woman who loves him either.

The Giant’s Captive is a fairy tale retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk for those who like an adorable happily ever after with a side of serious steaminess!

Breaking the Beast (Seven Ways to Sin Book 5) by Nicole Casey

I’m here to interview The Beast, the French billionaire and ex-wrestler. Who knows that SEVEN lonely French men have other plans for me…

When I’m asked to write an investigative piece on the ripped ex-wrestler who disappeared years ago, I know this is a job of a lifetime and potentially my biggest break as a journalist.

There’s just one problem. The Beast never leaves his castle. If I want the job, I need to move in with him.

Jacques, The Beast, is not who I imagined him to be at all. With chiseled abs and rock-hard body covered in tattoos, he is hiding a dark, painful past that I’m eager to find out. A damaged soul, he’s very protective of his privacy, only trusting his six best friends, who now work for him in the castle.

Étienne, Isiah, Alexandre, Raphaël, Vincent, and Bernard all have smoking hot bodies to die for and a sexy French accent when they speak. Each one hotter than the last.

Day by day, I’m more tempted by their shredded bodies and smoldering eyes.

I can’t stop myself from imagining their irresistible bodies on me, their skillful hands caressing me, making me scream their names.

And to my surprise, the men are lonely too, and our connection is overwhelming.

Before long, hot kisses are exchanged and sensual touches drive me wild.

But when my ailing Dad breaks down, I have to leave.
And I walk right into a trap…
A trap that may separate me from my lovers for good.

Will our red-hot love affair survive? Or will our terrifying pasts destroy everything?

The Savage and the Swan by Ella Fields

USA Today bestselling author, Ella Fields, delivers a heart-wrenching tale of impossible yet unstoppable love in this all-new standalone enemies to lovers fantasy romance.

The king of wolves was more beast than man, more tyrant than king, and so much more than he seemed.
Raised to avenge his murdered parents, he’d been trained and conditioned until nothing but violence and hatred lined the walls of his dead heart.

For nearly four years, I’d done all I could to help my kingdom as we faced the wolf king’s unconquerable evil—hardly anything at all.
As the only heir to the Gracewood line, I’d been relegated to menial tasks that would keep me and my secrets safe.

A chance to do more than fret behind our castle walls arrived when I breached them after overhearing my parents’ plans for my future. Fleeing, I unknowingly raced into a fate we’d all desperately hoped to avoid.

By the time I saw him coming, it was far too late. For my family. For my kingdom.
For my heart.
Before I could staunch the bleeding, the king had me under his giant paw, and one wrong move after another caused those razor-sharp claws to sink deeper and deeper beneath my bruised skin.

I might have been trapped, naïve, and furious, but I still had a kingdom to save—and a plan.
Yet when we collided, the bloodshed, the fear, his atrocities… all of it dissolved like stardust upon the night sea.

The stars had mapped out our destiny, but it didn’t matter what they or my heart wanted.
I refused to see the enigmatic male, the heartless lost boy with a soul beneath the flesh of a monster.
The savage king who’d destroyed everything I loved would fall—even if my heart fell with him.

Inspired by Hades and Persephone, Rumpelstiltskin, and The Swan Princess, The Savage and the Swan is not connected to any other Ella Fields novel. It’s a full-length standalone romantic fantasy containing mature content.

Fallen Rose (Beauty and the Beast Book 3) by Amelia Wilde

Leo Morelli has lost everything.

His safety. His sanity. But worse than that, the woman he loves. He will destroy Bishop’s Landing to get her back, even if it means becoming the monster she fears.

The entire city will feel his wrath.

Haley Constantine loves her beast, but she can’t walk away from her family. They need her now more than ever. It will take more than violence to face these enemies. It will take sacrifice.

Can she give up the man she loves to save him?

Excerpt Fallen Rose by Amelia Wilde

Leo’s grip tightens. He takes my air away. Makes it hard to breathe for long enough that my heart kicks up into a sprint. Even now, even when I can’t breathe, he smells so good I could die. Like a clean winter forest. Like a dark night.

And then.

He leans down and bites me. His teeth sink into the place where my neck curves into my shoulder, the heat of his breath tracing the marks. I’m on fire, lit up with him, every nerve responding to the pain. He’s never bitten me this hard before, never while he’s choking me like this, and I suck in a gasp.

Leo shoves himself away from me. My spine knocks against hardwood as he backs away with a growl. “Get out of here,” he says. “Go to the guest room.”

“What?” I put my hand where he touched me, press in like I can recreate the sensation. “No. I don’t want to leave.”

Leo looks me in the eye, and my heart thuds. Cracks. “I’ll be too rough with you. I’ll tear you apart.”

A heartbeat of fear. Another one of recognition. The gold in his eyes blazes with fury he’s not bothering to suppress.

Or that he can’t suppress.

The truth arrives like a bullet.

I’ve only ever had sex with Leo Morelli. The man standing in front of me now is the Beast of Bishop’s Landing.

This is the person Leo became to survive his father. This is the person he became to protect his siblings, and his secrets. I thought it was all an act. I thought he was only pretending to be angry. That it was skin-deep. A performance. And sometimes it is. Sometimes he allows people to think he is angry when he is really in pain. He allows people to think he’s ruthless and bloodthirsty when he is considered and calculated.

But now?

Now it’s real.

I’ll tear you apart sounded so raw, so violent, that I know it’s real. And it’s too late to stop it. Too late to hide it.

He’s trying anyway, though his anger is all in the open, it’s crackling in the air around us. It’s making the hairs on the backs of my arms stand up.

“Go,” he orders.

“No.” I separate myself from the door and take three steps toward him. Close enough for him to reach me. My body quakes with how lethal he is but I’ll never run from him. Never. Never. Never. “I want all of you. Even the beast.”

I look at him then. Really look. And I see everything. The agonized set of his shoulders. The way he stands up so tall as a way to keep himself in check. His hands shoved into his pockets to keep them off me.

The need in his eyes. A deep, animal need. He’s practically vibrating with it. Leo’s jaw works. “I promise, darling. I won’t be gentle.”

It’s as clear a warning as I’ve ever heard. This is my only chance to back out of this. To run to the guest room and lock the door. He’ll let me do it. Leo’s voice swears off softness.

I lift one hand and pull down the neck of my nightgown to bare my throat to him.

I show him the marks he’s already made.

“All of you,” I tell him. “Please.”

One second he’s standing there, and the next he’s all furious motion. It’s like the night he came after me. Watching him run into that alley was the most magnificent thing I’ve ever seen. He is equally stunning now. A graceful violence. His hands are all over me. Squeezing. Pinching. Bruising. He bites me again, layering more marks on top of the fresh one, and I cry out at how sharp the pain is. How little he’s holding back.

Leo tears my nightgown off. Shreds the fabric. Splits it down the middle.

He tears through the panties I’m wearing underneath.

When I’m naked, when there’s nothing left between us, he takes my face in his hands and kisses me in the ruins of my clothes. He kisses me so hard I taste blood. There is nothing gentle in his tongue, or his teeth, and I owe him everything, he is everything, because if he was soft with me now, I would be sick.

It’s not cruelty, the way he hurts me now. We are beyond things like cruelty and kindness. This is claiming.

Captive Beauty (Harem of Redemption Book 1) by Cassia Briar

To save my brother, I sacrifice myself to three monsters.

I’ve spent the past decade on the run with my younger brother after our mother was murdered. He’s finally turned eighteen and is under protection of the supernatural academy.

But when a dare goes wrong, I’m afraid I’ve lost him forever. My only choice is to give my life in exchange for his. Now I’m theirs. I belong to three beastly men.

Cade is a terrifying, scar-faced fae.

The wolf, Lucas, guards me like I’m his fated mate.

Zane, the seductive vampire, wants more than my blood.

They want to break me. These cursed men want to own my body, heart, and soul.

I need to escape before I lose myself to their dark temptations. Though outside these walls the hunters await.

Authors Note: Ends on a cliffhanger. This is a steamy, whychoose/reverse harem, crime syndicate, dark paranormal romance. You’ll find some Beauty and the Beast themes, fated mates, and enemies-to-lovers. It contains potentially triggering situations and is recommended for mature readers.

Kassie’s Review:

This was such a fun read since it was a Beauty and the Beast retelling with a more supernatural, steamy adult twist. You can see the definite draws from Beauty and the Beast so it’s interesting to see how those tie into this story. It still works as it’s own story cause like I mentioned is a very steamy adult version with more supernatural elements. Love getting the different supernatural representation with our mobster men, a vampire, werewolf, and fae. Then of course you got the witches as well, included our main girl Emma.

The book ends on a big cliffhanger that leaves you craving the next book. I can’t wait to see where we pick up and get to dive into more of everyone’s backgrounds. The men all have their own dark past and Emma has secrets uncovered in Captive Beauty but we still need answers. I’m excited to get more of this story and not to mention more of the spice

Excerpt Hidden Beauty by Amelia Wilde

#1

“We had a deal.” It seems like a million years ago that I signed my name with Leo’s on that sheet of paper. I don’t know how much to tell Eva, or how much she already knows. “I was staying with him until he sent me home.”
Simple, when you say it like that.
“If he sent you home…”
“Ronan was at my house first.” Panic echoes in my chest. The longest drive of my life, trying to get back to him. “When Ronan left, I thought something might happen. I thought—”
“You went back for him?”
For him. For me. To find out if the look on his face when he put me into the car and told me to go be with my family meant what I thought it meant. Because I couldn’t live with myself if Ronan hurt him or killed him and I did nothing for the man who made me feel—
He made me feel—
The memories crash in again. A gunshot. Leo falling. The heat of his blood. His wounded groan, the way he tried and tried to get up…
“Yes. I did.” I catch my breath. “My aunt Caroline always said…” Eva drops her hand into her lap. “Well, she said lots of things. About how evil the Morellis are. But she’s the evil one.” My hair stands on end. This whole thing is surreal. Unreal. It can’t be true, having this conversation with a Morelli. It can’t be right, that Leo almost died for me. Maybe I’m going into shock. Maybe I’ve been there for a while.
Eva’s jaw tightens. “The last time I was in a hospital was because of Caroline fucking Constantine. Now here we are again. History repeating itself.”
It’s dream-me who turns to face her, this perfect Morelli princess with shining black hair and red lips. “I know she did that to his back.”
Her eyebrows lift, and when she looks at me I can tell she’s seeing me. It’s not comfortable. I’m falling apart. “Leo showed you?”
No. He didn’t. My cheeks go hot at the memory. The shower. His fury. “I found out. He wasn’t happy about it.”
“I wouldn’t think so.” She shifts so she’s leaning against the arm of the couch, with a clear view of my train wreck self. “It’s the reason for his little vendetta against your family. Caroline started it.” A hard smile. “And then I made it worse.”
“How?”
A brief pause, and then she makes a decision. “I was young and reckless and…beautiful.” She gives me a small smile. “Like you. I met an older man, and I fell for him. This sounds so foolish now, but I thought we were in love. It didn’t matter that he was married.”

#2

“I have to say, Leo, I am fucking offended.
“Glad to hear it.”
Lucian strides across the room, unbuttoning his jacket, and takes the chair across from me. “You’re in the hospital for days and you don’t so much as call?”
“I wasn’t feeling up for visitors.”
Lucian purses his lips. He is the last person on the face of the earth who can give me shit about being allowed to visit. “What did you do to Caroline Constantine?”
The words crowd to the tip of my tongue. Let’s start with what Caroline Constantine did to me. But the secret has scarred over. I won’t tell Lucian unless I have to. “I took a meeting with her.”
“Don’t bullshit me, Leo.” A flash of true irritation in his eyes. “She didn’t send someone to murder you in cold blood because of contract negotiations.”
“She obviously didn’t like the outcome.”
He looks tense. There are bags under his eyes as if he hasn’t been sleeping. “If you don’t tell me what the outcome was, then I’ll have to expend valuable resources in order to—”
“Caroline wanted me to dissolve the contract with Phillip. I wasn’t about to do it for nothing.”
Lucian scents blood in the water. A gleam comes to his eyes. “A buyout?”
“A payout. I whipped her bloody and sent her away.”
Gerard makes a sound that could be disapproval, but remains stone-faced.
Lucian rubs a hand over his mouth. My brother looks me up and down in the familiar way I’ve always hated. Like he’s trying to see into my brain, to see what made me do what I did. I watch him discard the first few things he’s planning to say. “Which painkillers do they have you on?”
“None.”
Lucian narrows his eyes. “Whose choice was that?”
“Mine.”
“How much does it hurt?”
He wishes he knew. “It hurts less than having to listen to your questions.”
He laughs, sounding slightly awed. “Such a temper.”
I resist the urge to cover my face and shut him out. Shut everything out. That’s why they call me the Beast of Bishop’s Landing. It’s easier to rage at everyone. They stop probing for my secrets that way. “Is there a reason you’re here?”
Lucian shakes his head. “I’m here to help you with whatever foolish plan you have before you get yourself killed.”

#3

“What do you think you’re doing?”
I swallow against a dry mouth. “Leo, I should go.”
“The fuck you should. What are you talking about?”
“I know it seems bad.” My words tumble out on top of one another, and once again, I’m the girl with her back against the wall, facing off with the Beast of Bishop’s Landing. Only now I know he can be hurt. He can be wounded. “It is bad. But I have to talk to Aunt Caroline. I have to try and make her see reason.”
Leo stares at me like I’m a stranger. Like he’s never seen me before. Like I didn’t hold him in my arms and beg for him to live. “There’s no talking to that bitch.”
Tears well up in my eyes. Damn it. I wasn’t going to cry, but it’s all so close to the surface. “I know it was Caroline who hurt you. She’s the one who made those scars on your back.” I gulp down a sob and stifle it. Suffocate it. I’m not doing that. I won’t. “You told me yourself that you almost died. And now she tried to kill you again.”
The horror in Leo’s eyes transforms. It sharpens until it could cut me and bursts into flame. He stalks toward me and the hairs on the back of my neck rise. My body stills. There are three options in the face of a deadly predator. Flee. Fight. Freeze. I couldn’t run for the door if I wanted to. I don’t know how I ever did it before.
Leo stops with inches to spare. I’m not afraid of him, I’m not, but I’m trembling under my pink coat. Okay. I am afraid. But not of him. Not only of him. Of the way I feel right now, shaky and lightheaded and on the verge of tears from a love that feels completely out of control.
He waits, and I stand there like a fool, staring at the front of his shirt. There is a bandage underneath. A bullet wound. From putting his own body between me and a gun. A tear slips down my cheek and falls to the carpet. I’m too hot in the coat, too hot standing this close to him. Now that there’s a closed door between us and the rest of the world, I’m torn between bravery and the urge to fall apart and let him catch me.
My own fallen angel takes my chin in his hand and tips my face up, his grip hard and possessive. “Look at me.”
“I am looking at you.”
But I’m not. My eyes are still caught on his shirt—on the fabric concealing where he was shot. Leo gives my chin a terse shake. “Okay,” I whisper, meeting his eyes. Gold-streaked darkness waits for me, clear as the night sky. His gaze is sharp as a shot. Pain glimmers there, hidden behind the fiery beauty of those eyes. It’s not concealed behind a haze of painkillers. My pulse races at the contact. The heat of his fingers on my face is second only to the burn where his eyes meet mine.
“You,” he says, his tone deliberate, “are not going anywhere.”

Captain Hook and the Mermaid (Fairy Tale Heat Book 9) by Lidiya Foxglove

“Be careful, sweet,” he said, with a flash of a grin that made me realize just how handsome he could be. “It’s dangerous to feel too much in Never Land.”

When I took Peter’s hand and flew with him to Never Land, escaping the fate of my overworked peasant mother, I thought it was a dream, but all I found was a cursed land. Peter expected me to tell stories and mend clothes all day like I was his mother, and at night, he cried out with nightmares.

In Never Land, no one really grows up. At least, not on land. With my first womanly thought, I turned into a mermaid and Peter forgot my name. Yearning to escape, I was caught by the most dangerous man on the island—the very grown up, cruel pirate Captain Hook.

I’m trapped in his chambers, and he makes me a very naughty bargain—but how long before that bargain becomes something more? Something that might destroy the secret that holds Never Land together and frees two lonely hearts?

Captain Hook and the Mermaid is a fairy tale retelling for those who like an adorable happily ever after with a side of serious steaminess!

“What did you do?”
His self-satisfied smile did nothing to ease her tension. “Five million dollars is a lot of money, no? Do you think your friend will turn this down for you?”
Black spots swam before her eyes, but Lily refused to buckle. “My God…”
“Si, it is not likely, is it?” He moved closer, shadowing her like the predator he was, impossibly male and utterly beautiful in spite of the hatred she felt for him in that moment. “She will not turn it down, Liliana. Shall I tell you why?”
When she didn’t reply, he continued. “Carla has a boyfriend with a little problem. He likes the game tables in New Orleans a bit too much, yes? He has taken much from her in the last three years. Her savings are gone, her house leveraged in excess of its current value. This money represents a new life, cara mia. She will not say no.”
Lily blinked up at him. She knew she was defeated. Carla hadn’t told her the extent of Alan’s problems, but Lily had known that it worried her. Carla was almost as bad as Lily’s mother when it came to her slavish devotion to a man who cared more for himself than for her.
Nico’s fingers stroked down her cheek, impossibly tender when compared with his actions. She shuddered in spite of her vow not to react. “What do you plan to do with my baby?”
His eyes hardened, his hand dropping away. “Our baby, Liliana.”
Lily faced him squarely, ready to do battle, heartsick and heartbroken all at once. “You can’t buy me off too, Nico. I will never leave Danny with you willingly.”
“Clearly not,” he said, his voice deepening with anger. “But you will not need to do so.”
Lily gaped at him. “My God, you are unbelievable. How do you think your wife-to-be is going to feel about me and Danny, huh?”
“Why don’t you ask her yourself?”
“What? Are you insane?”
Nico grabbed her by the arm and propelled her toward the opposite wall, her puny resistance not slowing him in the least. He approached a door, and for one crazy minute she thought it was a bedroom and there was a woman inside. He would throw open the door and there she would be, the Princess Antonella Romanelli of Monteverde, a black-haired grey-eyed beauty, sprawled across silk sheets and pouting prettily because her lover was taking too long to get the baby mama under control.
Abruptly, they slammed to a halt, Nico pivoting behind her, the full length of his body pressing into her. She tried to jerk away, but he gripped her chin, more gently than she expected, and forced her head to face forward into the mirror.
Lily gasped. “Is this a joke?”
She stared at her reflection—their reflection. The darkness of his fingers against her skin, her hair wild and tumbling around her shoulders in a silky mess. Her pink cotton shirt was stained over her left shoulder, and her eyes, though tired, gleamed with fury. Nico, in contrast, was cool and unruffled. If not for his quickened heartbeat against her, she’d almost think him bored.
But no, there it was, that flash of something in his eyes, in the set of his jaw, that spoke volumes without a sound being uttered.
“No joke, Liliana. I have broken a long sought after treaty between my country and Monteverde, not to mention embarrassed my father and our allies, so that I can do what should have been done the instant you conceived my child.”
“I-I don’t understand,” she whispered, searching his face in the mirror, her heart slamming into her ribs.
“Of course you do,” he replied, dipping his head until his lips almost grazed the shell of her ear. Almost, but not quite.
“You, Miss Lily Morgan, are about to become the Crown Princess, my consort, and the mother of my children.”

“Dio, you are fiery. And I’ve been too careful with you,” he said, his voice a low rumble that settled into her bones. “I erred on the side of caution when I should have done no such thing.”
He transferred her wrists to one hand, then used the other to slide beneath her robe and cup her breast. “Perhaps I should take you to bed and keep you beneath me for the rest of the night.”
“You talk a fine game,” Lily managed, her heart drumming as her nipple pebbled at his touch. “But we both know you won’t do it. You don’t seem to have any staying power.”
She’d thought he would be angry at her insult, but a laugh rumbled in his chest. “Now that,” he said, “is where you are wrong.”
“Then why do you keep stopping before you begin? Maybe you have a premature issue or something and you don’t want me to know you can’t keep it up long enough to—”
His bark of laughter startled her. The next instant she was swept into his arms and he was striding down the hall. He kicked his way into the nearest room. She realized it was his as he set her down and ripped his dark T-shirt over his head.
As he advanced on her, naked chest gleaming in the soft lamplight, she scrambled backward, torn between resisting and helping. A dark line of hair arrowed down toward faded jeans which rested just below his hip bones and showcased the hard muscles of his abdomen. He was a spoiled prince and yet he looked like a demi-god, all bronze and delicious with a sculpted body, tousled hair, and bedroom eyes.
Sexy.
That was the word that popped into her head as he reached for her. So incredibly sexy.
“You’re not going to force me,” she declared. “You wouldn’t do such a thing—”
“I might,” he said, unknotting the belt of her robe, “but I doubt it’s necessary.”
