Well Played by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward

From New York Times Bestselling authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward comes a new, sexy standalone novel.

It all started with a bet. When my young son inherited half of his great grandfather’s historic inn, I decided to move us both to the place where I grew up. Notice I said half of the Inn. The other half now belonged to Levi Miller, the famous quarterback who had other ideas about what we should do with the property. We won’t mention that I accidentally injured him during our first meeting, causing him to get eight stitches. You could say we got off on the wrong foot. We bickered a lot as we both moved into the property while we figured things out. He wanted to unload the rundown place which, admittedly, needed a lot of work. I wanted to restore The Palm Inn to its original beauty and re-open it as a bed and breakfast. We couldn’t agree on anything. So Levi made me a proposal. One he thought I would surely lose.

If I could sell out the place by the time he had to leave for training at the end of summer, he would back off and let me run it. But in the weeks that followed, we got more than we bargained for while we were living under the same roof. Levi and I got closer, and before I knew it, my nightly fantasies about the brawny Adonis became a reality. Not to mention, he was so great with my son.

We were in over our heads in more ways than one.

Because not only was he the last man on Earth I should be falling for because of our deal, but Levi was also my ex’s older brother. And now the inn was the least of my problem

Hostile Takeover by Lucy Lennox

It was supposed to be a prank. A silly frat boy dare.

One hot moment in a hidden storage closet. One kiss. No consequences.

But if you get that close to a man with fire in his eyes, you’re gonna get burned, and I was no exception. One taste of Grey Blackwood ruined me for life.

The way Grey sees it, I was the one who did the ruining. I humiliated him. Wrecked his life. Destroyed his future.

Doesn’t matter that he’s clawed his way back and then some. Doesn’t matter that he’s already top of the Wall Street food chain. The man’s ruthless. Heartless. And he likes his revenge served cold.

Now he’s taking down the companies owned by every frat boy who did him wrong. And when he comes for my family’s company, the quiet life I’ve built for myself far away from Manhattan comes crumbling down, too.

But when Grey’s standing in our boardroom, threatening a hostile takeover and demanding I negotiate on behalf of my family, I don’t see an enemy. I see the chance I’ve been waiting for.

The chance for another night in his arms, and hopefully a whole lot more.

Let the negotiations begin.

Hostile Takeover is a full-length, standalone novel.

First and Tension (Summersweet Island #4) by Tara Sivec

It all started with a dare.

Emily Flanagan has been living her dreams the last four years as a professional cheerleader for the Los Angeles Vipers, thousands of miles away from her tiny hometown of Summersweet Island, Virginia. She’s got the world at the tips of her pom-poms… until she tells her boss to shove those pom-poms where the sun doesn’t shine.

After spending her last night in California with her biggest crush, Emily flies back home to Summersweet, resigned to her boring fate of running her parents’ business, never to be heard from again. Besides, there’s no use crying over a man who lives on the other side of the country, who she’ll never see again.

“Secret love affair for the new quarterback of the Virginia Beach Sharks, or a shocking tale of infidelity, leading all the way back to a birthday party Quinn Bagley threw at his previous home in Calabasas five months ago? New photos of the mystery redhead from the party surface, leaving fans to speculate all over social media, “Who is this woman who convinced Quinn Bagley to quit the Vipers and go to one of the worst teams in the league?”

Quinn Bagley is finally playing for a team that feels like a family, after years of playing with nothing but egos. Following an announcement that shocked the world—one he’d been wrestling with for months, if not years—it felt good to have that weight lifted off his shoulders. What he’s not happy about is that the woman who rocked his world the night she literally fell into his life turned out to be like every other crazy redhead he’s ever encountered, spreading lies all over social media and wanting to use him for something. He just wants to look her in the eyes and hear her admit it was all a game.

Except Emily Flanagan isn’t the hotheaded, rude woman he thought she was, out to screw him over. She’s sweet, sexy, and fun. Even if she does try to banish him from her island. She makes him feel normal, she makes him laugh, and she makes him want more.

He’s going to win her heart, even if he has to do it in overtime.

Let the real games begin, Miss Flanagan. I dare you.

The Daredevil by Dylan Allen

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Dylan Allen comes a new story in her Rivers Wilde series…

“I dare you to let me watch.”

It was the most wicked of propositions.
He was the most devilish of men…
And my soon to be boss.
I’d be crazy to say yes.
And a fool to say no.

Rich, and reckless, – Tyson Wilde is the kind of man I’ve sworn to avoid.
The offer he makes me – no limits, no strings, no regrets – is too good to be true.
On any other night, in any other city, and if he’d been even a fraction less mouthwatering, I might have been able to say no.
But it’s my birthday, I’m in Paris, and the devil holding out his hand to me has a killer smile, wears a suit like it’s his job, and oozes spine-tingling sex appeal.
And despite years of trying to be good, I’m a sinner at heart.

It’s a night I’ll never forget… and always regret.

Because no matter how right our kisses feel,
We’re only pretending to be lovers to land this deal…
It doesn’t matter that he understands me better than anyone ever has –
There are some secrets I will not share.
And lies he’ll never forgive.

Falling in love with Tyson Wilde was a danger I never saw coming,
And it could cost me everything.

I Dare You (Truth And Dare Duet #2) by Lylah James

Enemies to best friends to lovers

Maddox Coulter.

Was my enemy. Now my best friend.

You know him… Popular jock, rich enough to buy a town and a modern day casanova with a dirty smirk.

He’s every girl’s wet dream. But he wants me.

Maddox needs me.

One night of untamed passion has us dangling over the edge of something dangerous and it could forever break us.

Our hearts are on the line.

Maddox is keeping secrets.

I vowed to never give up on him but I’m not sure he’s the same man I fell in love with anymore.

I’m scared he’d leave my heart bleeding at his feet.

But worst, what if we go back to…

… hating each other?

Excerpt I Dare You by Lylah James

Maddox’s face darkened. He stepped closer, crowding into my space and pushing me back against the wall.

“Maddox-” I started but he cut me off with a low snarl, his chest vibrating with the cruel sound.

My chest cracked, open wide and the fissures of my broken heart scattered on the ground at our feet.

His eyes blazed with rage and… raw pain. “I’m self destructing every time I look at you, every time my eyes seek you out when we’re in the same room. You make destruction and melancholia taste like sweet, sweet fucking poison.”

His hands came up and he caged me against the wall. His minty breath whispered across my lips, a tempting touch but our lips didn’t meet. His mouth curled on the side, a sardonic smile.

“It hurts because you’re not mine. It hurts because we could have been good together but you decided to give up on us.”

His voice was rough and stiff as he spoke, his words slicing through the air and through me like a sharp sword. He left me bleeding on the spot and his eyes told me he didn’t care. “So spare me the speech, get the fuck out.”

My heart lurched and bled, the organ so fragile it couldn’t bear the assault of his words. His dark gaze went to my throat and we both stopped breathing for a mere second.

There was an unreadable expression on his face. A flash of pain echoed in his eyes before it was gone. I whimpered as he curled a finger around my necklace.

Our dreamcatcher.

Snap.

My eyes widened and I choked back a gasp. A single tear slid down my cheek as he snapped the necklace away from my neck, holding it up between us.

“I’ll be taking this back,” Maddox said, his voice raw and sharp, laced with enough heartbreak that my knees weakened and I slid to the ground.

He… took… my necklace. Snatched it right from my neck…and…

My lungs seized and a wounded sob broke through my throat.

Holding our dreamcatcher in the palm of his hand, he walked away.

The Double Dare (Neighbor from Hell #6) by RL Mathewson

Marybeth still couldn’t believe that she’d survived this long with a friend like Darrin, but somehow she’d managed to beat the odds and not give in to temptation and smother him with a pillow while he slept.

Of course some days were more difficult than others…

For twenty years he’s been biding his time, waiting for the right moment to make his move and now that it was here…
He couldn’t seem to stop screwing up.

Author’s Note:

Every NFH novel is written so that it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone book with the exception of this one. When I started writing Double Dare it wasn’t meant to coincide with The Game Plan, but it does. So, if you haven’t read The Game Plan, you may want to wait until after you do so that you can fully enjoy this book.

Title: The Double Dare (Neighbor from Hell #6)
Author: R.L. Mathewson
Publication Date: April 24th, 2015
Shelves: Historical; Romance;
Format: Kindle (237 pages)
Rating: 8/10

Currently, The Double Dare is my least loved book of the series and I don’t really know how to explain it. Darrin and Marybeth have been best friends since they were 7 and the books tells their story while Jodi and Danny are beginning theirs.

The author made a nice job on writing this part of their family without retelling too much from the last book, since most of the family scene we have read in Truce.

I think we need a family tree, because they are so many of those Bradfords out there!

As tradition says, Darin has to blackmail and kidnap and do whatever Bradfords do in order to get himself a wife, the girl he has loved since he was a kid. Problem is she has some health issues that keeps her from going further with his plans.

All in all, fantastic series, good belly laughs and I can’t wait to read the next one!

The Dare (Briar U Book 4) by Elle Kennedy

Get ready for another binge-worthy romance from New York Times
bestselling author Elle Kennedy!
College was supposed to be my chance to get over my ugly-duckling complex and spread my wings. Instead, I wound up in a sorority full of mean girls. I already have a hard time fitting in, so when my Kappa Chi sisters issue the challenge, I can’t say no.
The dare: seduce the hottest new hockey player in the junior class.
Conor Edwards is a regular at Greek Row parties…and in Greek Row sorority beds. He’s the one you fall for before you learn that guys like him don’t give girls like me a second glance. Except Mr. Popular throws me for a loop—rather than laughing in my face, he does me a solid by letting me take him upstairs to pretend we’re getting busy.
Even crazier, now he wants to keep pretending. Turns out Conor loves games, and he thinks it’s fun to pull the wool over my frenemies’ eyes.
But resisting his easy charm and surfer-boy hotness is darn near impossible. Though I’m realizing there’s much more to Conor’s story than his fan club can see.
And the longer this silly ruse goes on, the greater the danger of it all blowing up in my face.

Excerpt The Dare by Elle Kennedy

The boys are getting absolutely ripped tonight. We’ve been at this sorority party all of twenty minutes and already Gavin and Alec have torn open their shirts with their bare hands and are strutting around the beer pong table like a couple of barbarians. Got to admit, though, after winning our playoff game, I’m feeling pretty primal myself. Two more victories and it’s on to the Frozen Four. While no one will say it out loud for fear of jinxing the team, I feel like this is our year.
“Con, get over here, asshole.” Hunter calls out to me from across the room, where he and some of the guys have lined up rows of shots. “Bring those two knuckleheads with you.”
We gather with our teammates, all red-faced and high on adrenaline. Each of us hold up a shot glass while our captain, Hunter Davenport, makes a speech. He doesn’t even have to shout, because the music stopped about ten minutes ago. I keep seeing panicky sorority girls darting to and from the speaker system in the living room.
Hunter’s gaze sweeps over everyone. “I just want to say I’m damn proud of all of us for how we’ve persevered as a team this season. We’ve had each other’s backs, and everyone has put in their maximum effort. We’ve got two more, boys. Two more and we’re in the hunt. So enjoy tonight. Let’s turn it up. And then it’s time to get your heads back in it for the final push.”
It still doesn’t feel real sometimes. My punk ass at an Ivy school, interloping among the well-bred sons and daughters of old money and founding fathers. Even with my boys, the closest thing I’ve ever had to family after my mom, I can’t help sometimes checking over my shoulder. Like any day now they’re going to figure me out.
After a shout of “Briar hockey!” we throw back our shots. Bucky swallows and releases a guttural war cry that startles everyone until we all bust out laughing.
“Easy there, killer. Save it for the ice,” I tell him.
Bucky doesn’t give a shit. He’s too stoked. Young, dumb, and full of bad intentions tonight. He’ll make some young lady very happy, I’m sure.
Speaking of ladies, it doesn’t take long for them to coalesce around the beer pong table once we get another game going. This time it’s Hunter and his girlfriend Demi against me and Foster. And Hunter’s girl plays dirty. She’s peeled off her zip-up hoodie and is now in just a thin white tank top over a black bra, which she’s using to strategic effect to push her tits up in our faces as a means of distraction. And it’s fucking working. Foster goes boob blind and misses the table completely with his shot.
“Fuck, Demi,” I grumble, “put those things away.”
“What, these?” She grabs two handfuls and lifts them practically up to her neck while making the worst attempt at looking innocent.
Hunter lands his shot in one of our cups easily.
Demi winks at me. “Sorry not sorry.”
“If your girlfriend wants to take her top off, I’ll forfeit right now,” Foster says, trying to get a rise out of Hunter.
He’s too easy. Caveman mode activated, Hunter yanks his T-shirt over his head and pulls it down over Demi so it looks like a baggy dress on her. “Eyes on the cups, dickhead.”
I swallow a laugh, deciding not to point out that Demi Davis would look hot even if she were wearing a burlap sack. There was a time I might have hit that, but even before Hunter knew it, we could see that our team captain was already stupid for that girl. Just took those two a little longer to catch on.
So far, my prospects tonight aren’t great. Gorgeous girls, sure. A brunette all but tries to climb me and plant a kiss on my neck when I sink the next shot into one of Hunter and Demi’s cups. But these chicks have a thirsty vibe about them and so far, no one’s doing it for me.
Truth be told, all the women are starting to blur together in my mind. I’ve slept with a lot of ’em since I transferred to Briar this past fall. Rocking a woman’s world, making her feel special, is a skill of mine. But—and I’d be mocked relentlessly if I admitted this to my boys—none of the chicks I hook up with bother to make me feel special. A few pretend they want to get to know me, but for the most part I’m a conquest to them, a shiny prize to wave in their friends’ envious faces. Half the time they don’t even attempt to make small talk. They just stick their tongues down my throat and their hands down my pants.
Buy a man flowers, at least. Or hell, lead off with a good joke. But it is what it is, I suppose.

The Dare by Lauren Landish

Have you ever had one of those really bad days at work?
You know, one where your sexy AF boss catches you photocopying your backside in his office?
No? Just me then?
I blame my bestie and partner in chaos.
She challenged me with a not-so-innocent dare that I should’ve flat out declined.
But I’m an adrenaline junkie, and now, here I am.
I know it sounds crazy, and daredevil tendencies aside, I definitely went too far to get his attention.
But you haven’t seen him.
Colton Wolfe. My boss.
Tall, dark, and handsome, with the sexiest British accent I’ve ever heard.
His only flaw? That he’s completely oblivious to what’s been right in front of him all along.
Me.
Well, he was until a few minutes ago.
Remember those good old days?
Before I got caught bare-assed and making nice with the copy machine, and before I was totally getting fired?
But wait. Maybe I’m not.
If I can take on the biggest dare of all.
Making Colton Wolfe fall in love with me.

Links will be updated as soon as we have them.

Excerpt The Dare by Lauren Landish

Colton
Neither of us is particularly good at putt-putt, and given the odd looks we’re getting, we are majorly overdressed for this activity, but it is fun. We figure out how hard, or rather how gently, to hit the balls by the second hole, but my ball gets trapped in a whale’s belly on the fourth. We have to answer a riddle to gain exit, but that only takes a couple of tries. The fifth, sixth, and seventh hole, I stand behind Elle under the guise of helping her line up her shot. I can say that my aim isn’t much better than hers, but my cock enjoys nestling against her ass.
It should feel wrong. It feels right.
It should feel fast. It feels impossibly slow.
“On the ninth and last hole, Colton Wolfe has the point advantage. This could be make-it or break-it for the English upstart.”
Elle’s voice is thrown low and dramatic, mimicking a sportscaster as I prepare for my winning shot. I spread my feet wide, adjusting my grip on the tiny club and looking left to aim before settling my eyes on the neon yellow ball in front of me.
My competitive nature is taking over, and I want to win, especially with the score this close. But there’s something else I want to win even more than bragging rights.
I relax and instead lean casually on the club. “So, what do I get if I win?”
Elle’s lips purse as though she’s fighting a smile. “Ooh, you’re learning. Are we wagering here?”
“I dare you . . . if I win, you come home with me. If you win, I go home with you.”
It’s a bold move, but I didn’t get to the position I’m in by making small steps. I think Elle, of all people, will appreciate the go-big or go-home American-style gamble.
She sucks in a breath, her breasts rising deliciously as they beg for my kisses, nibbles, and tongue.
“That’s against the rules. Seriously, there are rules.”
My brows drop down. “Why is this the first I’m hearing of this? There are rules to this dare game you enjoy?” I make it apparent that I think she’s making things up on the fly, but she shakes her head.
“Tiffany and I have been doing this for a long time, and we’ve learned a few things, some the hard way. Rule one, nothing that’ll hurt someone, ourselves included. Rule two, no sex. Rule three, nothing illegal.” She pauses so that her words sink in. “Your dare violates rule two.”
I hold up a finger. “Counter. The rules you have for your game with Tiffany do not have to be the rules for our game. They can be different, as long as we agree to them.”
To neither of our surprise, she opens her mouth to argue. It’s like it’s a habit with her. But I hold up a staying hand.
“Also, I find it interesting that I merely dared for you to come home with me, or vice versa. You’re the one who mentioned sex. What if I’d wanted you to organize my closet?”
It’s a deadpan joke again, and I wonder if she’ll respond favorably because it feels like another bold move to make in the midst of her setting boundaries.
“Do you want me to organize your closet?” she retorts, crossing her arms. I think she’s aiming for a stern look, but it only serves to press her tits up.
I chuckle. “Of course not. I have people for that.” She throws her hands in the air, frustrated, but she’s smiling, enjoying our banter. I am too. More seriously, I say, “I don’t want you to do anything you don’t want to do, Elle. I’m daring you to listen to your heart, listen to your body, and okay, maybe your mind a little bit, because I don’t want you to regret anything. I dare you . . . to do what you want with me.”
Fuck, that gleam in her eye is sexy as sin and I know I’m in trouble. I may have met my match with this woman, and I couldn’t be more pleased about it.
“Dare accepted. Though how do you know I don’t want you to come home and scrub my toilet?”

Triple Dare (The Sterling Shore Series #7) by CM Owens

Who is Corbin Sterling to me? That’s what people always want to know. He was my first friend. He was the love of my life. And he was my only heartbreak. The problem is that I love the big jerk, and I’ve refused to give up our friendship, even if it does mean it’ll eventually ruin me. So, to answer the question… Corbin Fucking Sterling is the Bane of my existence; that’s what he is.

CORBIN STERLING

People tell you to learn from your mistakes, but the problem isn’t learning from them; it’s undoing them. I wish I could go back and undo a lot of shit. Maybe then I wouldn’t feel tortured every time Ruby calls me her “best friend.”
This might be the last chance I have to make everything right, but she’s sure as hell not going to make it easy. The games we play will either finally stop, or turn into what I’ve always wanted. This time I won’t fuck it up. Hopefully.

Title: Triple Dare
Author: CM Owens
Publication Date: October 27th, 2015
Shelves: Contemporary; Romance;
Format: Kindle (338 pages)
Rating: 10/10

When I need a good book, I always return to the Sterling Shore series to get me out from this book phase. It’s hilarious and CM Owens blows my mind with how brilliant she is.

It’s funny how I always laugh out loud every time, even if I know what it’s all about. It’s like watching Friends, the TV show, and still think it’s funny. This week I was telling my sister-in-law how she MUST read this series and I got excited for 10 minutes straight.

We already know most of the guys, we get glimpse of Corbin and Ruby from previous books, but now… Now, we get to meet them properly.

Ruby Kross is one bad-ass woman who was dealt with a bad hand but managed to get out stronger! Her mother used to take advantage on her nut allergies and get her admitted in the hospital, struggling for her life most of the time! Luckily, her father managed to take her away.

Corbin and Ruby tried 3 times to date, but every time something happened, so they made rules about their friendship and how their Triple Dare game works.

What I love most about this series is that while we focus on the main characters, we get side story glimpses on the rest of the guys!

Next in line is Identical Disaster, which is Bo’s story, Ruby’s best friend. She will become stranded with one hot Jax Marshall.
