When the Dead Come A Knockin’ by B.L. Brunnemer (The Veil Diaries #2)
My name is Alexis Delaney, and I’m your average 17-year-old girl. Except I’m a Necromancer. Which means I can see the dead, talk to them and help them move on. Well, I used to be able to. Someone has sealed the Veil. Now the dead are stuck here. And with the extra energy floating around town, the ghosts are getting stronger.
It’s been two months since I came to Spring Mountain to live with Uncle Rory. And the guys, my five best friends, have done everything they can to help since. Things for once were almost normal, my issues with the dead had become routine. Until they all found girlfriends. Now I’m back to hiding everything again. With ghosts leaving their haunting grounds at will, new people asking questions and trying to build my link to the Veil, I don’t know how the hell I’m going to pull this one off. But it can’t get that bad, right?

I like this series, a lot, but I am so frustrated about it!!!! Damn… I mean I do love a good slow burn, but if I have to spend more than 60% of this book feeling jealous? Hmm… yes, that’s why I’m frustrated!
At the beginning of the book we find out all boys have a girlfriend, well except Miles, but he has Autumn anyway… que in jealousy… After that, Lexie starts dating Dylan, que in jealousy again…
The friendship between them is still strong, Lexis is still focusing on reaching the Veil. I felt this book was longer than it was, but only because I am excited to see some action between them.
At the end, there is a POV from Asher and Miles, where they start seeing more to Lexie than a friend.
I feel Dylan has some suspicions about his science project, and I feel it has something to do with Lexie and what she is. He freaked out when he saw her bathroom episode. I can’t wait to read so more, though I have a feeling it’s going to be long time for that to happen.
