The Hidden (Shadowed Wings #1) by Ivy Asher

I am a latent wolf shifter.
Or so I thought.

Then life as I knew it changed in a flash—or more accurately, an electrocution.

I’ve woken up in a strange place, surrounded by strange people who hate me. They’re in the middle of a war, and I look like I belong on the wrong side of it.

If that’s not enough to qualify as a really bad day, I now have wings and a strange animal to figure out, because it turns out that there’s not a damn latent thing about me.

If I want to live, I have to prove that I’m not the spy I’m accused of being. Then I need to figure out how the fuck to get back home before all hell breaks loose. Too bad my animal has zero interest in working with me unless it has to do with the two hot assholes that lead this rebel group.

I’m on my own, in a place I’ve never even heard of, with threats I don’t know how to defeat. And lucky me, I might as well have a rotisserie chicken living inside of me for all the help my newly discovered gryphon is.

Perfect. Just fucking perfect.

I was in such a mood to find a good PNR romance that I searched and searched and finally I stumbled upon The Hidden and Thank you Dear GOD!!!!!

I was hooked from the beginning and trust me when I say my day was not free to read, but that it just what I did. I binged the 2 books out so fast, that when the 2nd book was finished I cursed and cursed.
So, The Hidden follows Fallon, a latent wolf shifter who goes to spread her Gran’s ashes, but she finds herself in another realm. There she finds out she’s something else and the joy to get into harmony with her gryphon.

She gets attacked by one of the Hidden and soon she finds herself in their “camp”. They are the rebels to the Highborn, but the story is just in the beginning and we only hear her side of the story. Little by little, she discovers this new world and gets close to Zeph and Ryn, the 1st and 2nd in command there.

The book is funny and Fallon has the best comebacks.

“You useless fucking pigeon,” I shout at my gryphon, turning my rage on her. “I wish you were a wolf instead of a rotisserie chicken, you worthless buffalo wing!”

I checked by curiosity the review on GD and I was surprised because there are not that many good ones. By I really loved it and I am happy I did not check it before. This is a case where I think I would have based a damn good series.

If you loved Sign of Cupidity and Bewitched and Bewildered, I think this series is for you, since it gave me THAT vibe. I loved it.
