The Elite BLURB:

The second book in Kiera Cass’s #1 New York Times bestselling Selection series

With even more glamour, intrigue, and swoon-worthy romance, this sparkling sequel to The Selection will captivate readers who loved Veronica Roth’s Divergent, Lauren Oliver’s Delirium, or Renée Ahdieh’s The Wrath & the Dawn.

Thirty-five girls came to the palace to compete in the Selection, and to win Prince Maxon’s heart. Now six girls remain, and the competition is fiercer than ever—but America Singer is still struggling to decide where her heart truly lies. Is it Prince Maxon—and life as the queen—that she wants? Or is it still Aspen, her first love?

MY REVIEW:

The Elite

Publication Date: April 23rd, 2013
Shelves: Fiction; Romance; Unique story-line;
Format: Kindle (336 pages)
Rating: 10/10

“It turns out I’m absolutely terrible at staying away from you. It’s a very serious problem.”

“You know that you’ve found something amazing, and you want to hold on to it forever; and every second after you have it, you fear the moment you might lose it.”

“The Elite” is the second book of “The Selection” series by Kiera Cass and follows the second process of the selection of the future queen.

The characters evolve beautifully in this world of fantasy, especially where now we can find out more about the side characters and the Royal Family. America is a sweetheart, but very fierce and always finds herself in funny situations. She has to learn how to act as a member of the most viewed family of their world and she is being difficult about it.

Another cut will be made. Is America one of them? Is the Price decided on his favorite?

Here is the reading order of the series.

1 The Selection

The Selection Kiera Cass

3 The One

The One Kiera Cass

4 The Heir

5 The Crown
