I haven’t seen a book so far with a title more appropriate than Sweet Dreams. Sometimes I think how I might look to other people while reading with a sad smile, and unshed tears in my eyes. This is what this book did to me.

Sweet Dreams is the story of Tatum Jackson and Lauren Grahame, two broken souls saving each other. Laurie reaches the small town where Tate lives and gets seated there after being on the road for a place to live. She fled her life, her cheating ex-husband, her shallow friends and her boring life.

The first time they meet, Tate talks trash about her, and she starts an avoiding / hate relationship with him. I really loved that part!

I usually read (Not intentional) about heroines in their twenties, thirties, but not early forties! This was a nice surprise for me and felt like there is always a second chance, a third chance that has nothing to do with age, just happiness and love and peace of mind.

This book felt like a movie playing in my head, and I enjoyed the fat that I did not foresee who the serial killer was. Furthermore, I suspected it was somebody close to them. With a shame, I admit I thought it was Bubba and his “fishing” trips.

The story was sweet, the characters sweeter and my heart swelled and bled with them.
Oh, an a very, very pregnant lady named Nina Maxwell is going to be an attorney on a case in this book! Ring any bells?
