Midnight Touch (Midnight Pack #1) by L. Ann

Trouble always finds Shaun Jacobs…

So, really, the sizzling hot alpha male shouldn’t have been surprised when a move to a new town and a fresh start doesn’t go according to plan – especially when Shaun’s wolf lays claim to the beauty he unexpectedly finds on his property and passion begins to soar.

But Cassie comes with her own brand of trouble in the form of an ex who can’t take no for an answer.

To make matters worse, there’s a hunter on Shaun’s tail. One who will stop at nothing to take down the Midnight pack once and for all.

The stakes are high but Shaun won’t be going down without a fight.

I am in a PNR mood lately and on my ever so long TBR list, I had this series as well.

When I start a good book, I usually get giddy less then 5% in, but with this book I’ve struggled a bit. Around 40% things started to shift… hahaha, shifter book!

Anyway, I get this is the beginning of the story and if you feel like me, keep going a bit, and see if it might surprise you. In the beginning we get to know S and that he’s a wolf shifter.

He moves to a new area where their pack is relocating, and he is greeted by a young woman. Turns out Cassie is his mate. She has a future ahead of her and I can’t wait to see how she develops throughout the series.

Their problems appear when a Hunter kidnap Cassie and her sister, Gemma, plus 2 other shifters.

I don’t want to give spoilers ahead, but even if I struggled a bit in the beginning, now it has my full attention. It’s 2AM now and I debate whether to start book 2, or go to sleep like a “normal human”.
