I just cannot get this book out of my head. Meet Cute is exactly what I dared to hope I’ll get. It was so gorgeous, that it will join my re-reading list.
When you smile from your very first page you know it’s going to be good and just hope to God it’s going to deliver.
Kailyn runs into Daxton (literally) at law school. To top that, she just walked right at him and since she had a massive crush on her favorite actor from her favorite TV show “It’s my life”, She fangirls like crazy, as you can imagine. To make matter worse, she walks in her full classroom and falls into his lap AGAIN.
They put each other in a very competitive way and become some sort of friendly rivalry. Que 5 years after graduation, they meet again when his parents reach her to settle a trust fond for Emme, Daxton’s sister.
With heavy heart, his parents pass in a car accident, and his life turns upside down, now becoming a guardian for his baby sister.
It was a sweet romance started from a crush and little by little it becomes more. I felt the beginning a bit rush, but I understand this is only to get a background story on their years spent together as law students.
Meet Cute had a story line which was quite intriguing mixing a shady aunt, a battle for guardianship of Emme and Kailyn who is in the middle of all that as a neuter player.
The characters are well built, the storyline is smooth and all you have left is to enjoy a nice swoony rom-com with a happy ending.
