Loving War (The Sterling Shore Series #4) by CM Owens

Tria Noles and Kode Sterling are a match made in hell, and no one will deny that.

They’ve hated each other for years. Kode Sterling is the jerk who doesn’t care what anyone thinks. Tria Noles hides under a cold façade to appear strong and confident. There’s no possible way they could be anything together besides a volatile disaster.

But when their chemistry overrides their logic, they have no choice but to face their twisted attraction to each other. When that attraction refuses to fade, what started off as physical turns into something neither of them expected—or wanted.

Tria has spent most of her life living in her sister’s shadow, and it’s no secret that Kode was once one of the many who adored Rain Noles. It’s hard for her not to keep her guard up, because she doesn’t want to feel overlooked once again.

Kode starts to realize he might have been chasing the wrong Noles girl all these years. And there’s a lot he did wrong in the past when chasing Rain that could jeopardize any future he has with Tria.

There’s a thin line between love and hate, just as there is a thin line between success and disaster.

Loving War – it explains perfectly the relationship between Kode Sterling and Tria Noles. Every book of this series becomes more and more amazing and funnier as it goes.

We know from The Sterling Boys that Kode has been secretly, or not so secretly in love with Rain, even if he knew she loved Dane. But as an 18-year-old, he made some mistakes that will haunt him years later.

Being in Rain’s corner ever since they were young, he did everything in his power to keep at bay everyone who hurt her, including her evil sister, Tria. unfortunately, she might have been a little innocent of all she was accused of. Now she is terrified by the Sterlings, and all she wants is a normal relationship with her sister.

Tria has always been overlooked for Rain and that has made her a bitter teen. Now that she gets along with her sister, she wants a new start and she dyes her blond hair and becomes a stunning brunette. By mistake, one a night out, Kode accidently hits on her, resulting of a night together. But things don’t stop there, and before we know it, they secretly start a relationship.

Since he messed up with his brother Dane and everyone knows what he feels for Rain, nobody believes his true intentions. Sometimes not even Tria. It’s so fun to watch how their world unfolds once, one by one, people take notice of their closeness.

Just like Tria, Kode has been in Dane’s shadow all his life and for the first time, they both see themselves as the ones who are everything for each other.

Next in line is Breaking Even, the story of Rye Clanton and Brin, Tria’s friend. If you though things were hilarious up to now, brace yourselves because things will go sky rocket.

I love how CM Owens introduce their next couple with small introductions. She is perfect!

More of the Sterlings? Well, Ruby will come back home. She is Corbin’s best friend, but actually, they have some very long romantic history. They will be stars of Triple Dare.
