Hands Down by Mariana Zapata
Before he was Big Texas, he was Zac the Snack Pack.

Bianca Brannen knows time—mostly—heals all wounds. Including those your once loved ones might have unintentionally given you. (Those just take longer.)

She thinks she’s ready when a call has her walking back into her old friend’s life. Or at least as prepared as possible to see the starting quarterback in the National Football Organization. Before the lights, the fans, and the millions, he’d been a skinny kid with a heart of gold.

Waltzing out of Zac Travis’s life should be easy. Just as easy as he walked out of hers.

*** coming in July! Zac from Winnipeg is getting a book! This will be a live release. Comment to get notify when the book is LIVE.

If you would like to read a couple of teaser chapters for HANDS DOWN, you can follow the link to get to it here

I know this will be no surprise to you, since you read this review because either your a fan of MZ, or slowburns in general, or a newbie, but this book is fantastic.

Again, I am a bit biased, because I LOVE all the books MZ has written. Sorry, not sorry.

Mariana Zapata is the queen of slowburns, in my opinion, and I had to try and search for other authors but none top her books. Seriously.

If you’ve read The Wall of Winnipeg and Me, you’ve met Zac before. It’s not necessary to read that before this, but I highly recommend it. Plus it’s one of my favorite books ever. You can have it here.

Bianca has been in Zac’s life since she was a tiny baby, but the last 10 years life had it’s course and they lost touch. Not because she wanted to, but he became busy. Now, her cousin wants her to look for Zac and tell him, his grandfather is in the hospital.

Funny things is, when Bianca meets Zac for the first time in 10 years, he does not even recognize her. Because now, she’s 27 so she’s an adult. A very beautiful woman.

This book is all about rekindling a friendship that turned more for Bianca. She knows how much his rejection hurt her, so she’s taking things slow and without meaning it, she falls back in love with her best friend. What will be different this time? Zac has feelings too.
