Title: Checkmate by RL Mathewson BLURB:

There’s nothing worse than living next door to your childhood nemesis, except maybe being forced to share your dream project with him, being blackmailed into going along with something that was just wrong on so many levels, and having your hot cocoa stolen by the person that drove you to drink it in the first place.

As long as she has plenty of hot cocoa, a pair of pliers on hand and is able to resist Connor O’Neil’s bad boy charm then Rory James should be able to make it through this project with her sanity intact. If not…..

She’d probably face a few more nights in jail, have a few more restraining orders slapped against her and lose her heart to the man that ruined her life.

This series is too much fun! The boys of the Bedford clan and now James’ clan are to die for… literally because they’ll eat you!

It was a nice way to introduce another part of the family, the James. Rory James is a girl among 5 big brothers and a father that sees her no different than a boy. That is how she grew up, working, thinking and fighting like a boy. Especially since Connor O’Neil made her life a living hell.

The best part of Connor’s life growing up was Rory. He tormented her but also protected her, because she was his to mess with. Years pass by having a town ban them because they cause trouble everywhere they are together.

What happens when a client hires both their companies to renovate a hotel? How are they supposed to work together and not murder each other?

Connor want to headhunt her brother to work for him, so he makes up a plan to blackmail her into faking a relationship with him. Too bad he quickly finds out he still loves her and the lines become non-existent too fast.
