Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Sarah Stein is a pseudo name. My initials are T.B. I’ll let you figure out my real name. 😉 I’m the fifth child in a family of five boys and five girls. My parents have been married for forty years and are still going strong. I’m from southern Louisiana but reside in Texas. I have a sixteen-year-old son and a thirteen-year-old daughter. My hubby and I have been married for going on nineteen years. Since I was a teenager, I’ve always loved to write, be it lyrics to music or short stories. I like to dabble in a variety of genres but focus mainly on instalove, contemporary romances. As of right now, I have thirteen novellas published. I’m working on releasing a full-length novel in the next year.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I grew up reading the Babysitter Club books. Once I got older, I leaned more toward Danielle Steel and Nora Roberts. Eventually, my tastes broadened, and I became entranced as I started to read Anne Rice and Laurell K. Hamilton.
What are you working on now?
Right now I’m working on the finishing touches (edits) of the Unleashed short story tales. I’m also working on a Taboo/Dark Story tale, which should be featured in this year’s erotica anthology. More information for that will be updated on my website.
I can’t imagine how proud you must feel when people tell you how much they liked your books. Have you ever pictured yourself a go-to author along the way?
I never thought I’d get this far, but I’m not going to complain. When attending book signings, it still shocks me when a reader recognizes who I am.
What is your favorite name from all your characters?
Of all the characters, I think my favorite name is Jolene (female) and Tobias (Male).
The strangest place to get a great story out of it?
I set my shifter series in Alaska but have never visited. My sister has visited with her husband and I asked her a few questions about the scenery.
Real situations that you integrated into your books?
Some real situations I’ve integrated into my stories are love at first sight, soulmates, and enemies to lovers.
Any book boyfriend from another author?
Nah, I read so much that I don’t have time to fall for a book boyfriend. Lol
Favorite gift you received from a fan.
There was a book signing in Oklahoma. A fan of mine gave me a binder filled with all my releases. It was shocking how much work she put into the collection.
Which female character gets close to your personality?
I don’t think I have a close personality with any of my characters, but if I had to choose, I’d pick Madeline. She’s not released yet but will be soon.
Have you ever dedicated a book to a special person? What was their reaction?
Most of my book dedications are to my husband for his full support.
What was the most difficult thing to write about?
The most difficult thing to write about are things I have no relation to. For instance, shifters and vampires aren’t real, yet I love creating those stories. It’s a challenge.
What is your dream author to write a story together with?
I’d love to collaborate a story with Laurell K. Hamilton.
Can you remember what book made you love romance novels? Or maybe a movie?
There wasn’t a particular book that made me love romance novels. At one point I found out about Harlequin romance at the local thrift store and became engrossed in the many stories.
Is there anyone in your family or close friends that reads more romance than you? Let’s out them
Three people I know of that read as much if not more than me is my sister, Angela. She’s a huge romance reader. My mom used to read quite a bit of romance when I was a teenager. She doesn’t know, but I used to read some of her books. Haha. My Aunt Julie (mom’s sister) is also another big reader. She also dabbles in writing and will one day release a romance of her own.
I’m Romanian. Have you heard about Romania? There are plenty of books, mostly paranormal that make some references.
I have heard of Romania but haven’t read any books that I know of that reference Romania.
